I was searching around some Playstation stuff on the DB and saw these items have rarity values greater than 10. And actually running a search through the whole database for rarities greater than 10 brings up these and a couple of others.

Sweet! I always thought the cap was $999 in the rarity guide, maybe not? Always currious about the arcade prices + rarities though. Is there any possible way to discover how many were manufactured let alone still around?

I'd say there's no generated rarity gif beyond 10.

Wouldn't it just be easier to make new gifs? No point in going back and mucking with the database...

Now why did that happen.

I'll take a second and third look through them because I know I didn't ever bump any to 18. They can be annoying to find, but they arn't THAT rare.

I'd assume that the scarcity/Dollar values have got switched by mistake.

What is the deal with these? I've been wondering myself. The Advance Guide lists the Lightspan titles as 8s, though it doesn't have them all. Many in the online guide come up as 18s, and some come up as 3s. That's a pretty big difference between the book and online guide, 8 and 3. And I know nothing can be higher than 10. Hell, some even come up as 20 or 30!

Well first read the above posts, there is no R 18, 20,30. There was some kind of glitch that happened, i've not resubmitted the list since I checked on this (whenever my last post in here was).

The reason they dropped from 8's to 3's is that not long after the guide came out Lightspan was eaten up by Plato Education (or something close to that) and they started to fire employees. A TON of these started to show up on ebay, not to mention that people that had gotten these from schools started to sell them on ebay as well. The stuff that is ranked 3 is the stuff that you were going to get in any Lightspan lot purchase made in the last 2 or 3 years. There is still some series that are incredibly hard to find (and hence why they are R8's) but 70%+ have become just the edutainment fodder for those that might care.
