Jesus Christ, you made me laugh out loud at that XD

You bastich, you killed him and raped the corpse. $390 was a great price! That 3DO binder is worth what, $100 alone?

Obviously the person didn't care much about what they had and just needed to get rid of it for either space or a few bucks. I would have quite a few duplicates from picking up that lot so selling off those would help ease the expense.

That's a hell of a deal. I need to get something like that around my area. Problem is everyone on my local craigslist thinks there consoles and games ar egold plated. Everyone talks about how rare their nes is and how no one has them anymore. Later that day you'll see another posting for the same thing by a different person. With my luck, I'd go pick it up and it would end up being someone trying to kidnap me and hold me for ransom.

Good find.

I'm not bragging. In case you haven't noticed, atleast 25% of the games are worthless sports and disney/kiddie crap. Plus, only one of the consoles is complete--the rest are missing controllers and hook-ups. I'm sure that all subtracts from the price atleast alittle bit.

My craig's list is the same way. Only once in a leap year do you find a really good deal. It's usually the same old shit thats way overpriced. Just how many rare Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt carts must one list before realizing it ain't worth jack shit?

Did Chrono Trigger have both of the maps with it?

Shining in the Darkness is a great game if you've never played it before, my favorite dungeon crawler of all time.

Nice find. I wish craiglists at my area would show up more game deals. Instead I have to end up with overpriced seller who refuse to drop their price.

I glanced in it to see that it had atleast two booklets in it, but when I get home I'll check to see if it has any other ones. Because honestly I thought it was only suppose to come with an instruction booklet like most other games.

I know there are a good number of deals on my local craigslist but you have to comb through so much crap like:

Date: 2008-01-25, 4:46AM EST

2 PS3 games. Need for speed carbon and NBA street. Asking $35 a piece or $60 for both.
Tis why I don't browse there much. There's more luck and enjoyment out of driving to and wondering around a few local stores while out and about.

when ever i see some one trying to rip off some one on craigs list with older game consoles i usually post the the following in my own for sale thread:

NOT FOR SALE
6 NES game consoles usually found at garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores for about $10 apeice. support your local businesses.

and i post a pic of my 8 consoles some in boxes.

strangly enough i only get flagged every once in a while from the seller on the prevous listing and then alot of thanks comments other wise

Just curious... do you tell customers at the local game shops (if you have any) this same info? Also, just sort of FYI, it takes lots of flagging for a post to get pulled, not just one disgruntled scammer.

While looking last night out of curriousity there was this (http://norfolk.craigslist.org/tag/551598619.html):

Posting Title:
looking for a nintendo at the fair price - $1

Body:
well it got flagged last time but i dont care. you can get wii's at gamestop bewteen 10-11 a.m. mon-fri. but before you drive just give them a call first. i did this for a week, got one and i felt good walking out knowing i did have to pay $350 to someone trying to rip me off. also academics superstore, its a website has them for $299 if you wanna do that. trust me paying the msrp of 249 plus tax is awesome cause then you can spend the extra money you would have spent buying from some one else on controllers or accesories

I flagged it anyhow, just some misleading advert and not an empressive one either.

Oh, and I love posts like here (http://norfolk.craigslist.org/tag/552388089.html):

Posting Title:
Lots of PS2 games for sale - $15

Body:
My son has way too many games, i want to sell alot for 15.00 each, they were very expensive and bought at newest prices, 29.99 and 39.99. Only fifteen, its better than getting it at the store, and its just as good condition, no scratches. THanks

What do you have for $15? And there's a lot of these "i hav stuff, $$$ com get it!"

I don't flag those type of Wii posts, but I understand why you would. I can identify with the person making the post, because the Wii re-sellers annoy me for reasons I don't feel like going into, and I'm off-topic enough as it is.

Those under-described posts can be gold mines, so I wouldn't dismiss them outright. You do have to figure how to read between the lines, and in that particular case it is probably junk, or at least not worth that much. I just got 2 decent finds from ads like that...

1. this one was a: my husband left and now I'm stuck selling all his crap. Nothing too special, but I picked up Toe Jam and Earl, Afterburner II, and a Gen control stick (all loose) for $10.

2. I just followed up on a sort of vague post, though not as vague as the above... wish I'd saved it. Something along the lines of: Huge PS1 game lot, sega/snes/turbographics (sic) - $350. Inside the ad it didn't say much more than 'too much to list, call xxx'. Anyway, I'll have some details up soon in a new post.

Nice consider yourself lucky :)

I once lucked out and found a few SNES Square games almost complete at a yardsale but everyone of them was at least missing a map the instructions or something. I at least still had one of the Chrono Trigger maps from when I owned it years ago so I'm one map away from my complete being complete.

I may just keep Chrono Trigger since everyone seems so interested in it. I'm not even an rpg fan but I may have to hold on to this game for alittle bit longer.
