View Full Version : Is there any LIVE Earthbound music out there?

It occurs to me that though there's a ton of Earthbound remixes out there, I don't recall coming across much that was actually produced with real instruments. There were a couple of tracks from the Orchestral Game Concert albums, sure, and they're pretty awesome, but it seems like there's so much untapped potential. Even Chrono Trigger at least got that acid jazz album.

So, am I missing something? Aside from Youtube vids of folks playing on the piano?

Smash Bros. Played a song from Earthbound during their performance at magfest 6, live audio...someday, hopefully.

There is an album in the iTunes store of MOTHER 3 music. That may qualify as a "remix," though.

So... I guess that's a "no", then?

I was just thinking of that one battle theme that seems to be played with a double bass, a set of bongos, some maracas, and a ... theremin? But perhaps the double bassists of the world do not have great interest in recreating video game music.

I actually accidentally came across some a few months ago.

Look for the Albums called "Rock Candy" there are like 6 of them with a mix of live, remix, and original music.

I say, why did this never come up before?

Apparently there was an official Mother OST that was not only live, but also had vocals!
