SNES female platformer

Okay, I've got a problem, not so much me, as my friend is looking for a SNES game for his fiancée. Its not Super Vails IV, but it is a US released platformer with a female character that has red hair. Any ideas what the game is?

Sure it's US released? Could Be Popful Mail. The SNES version didn't get a US release I think, but the Sega CD version did.

I thought it played like a Valis Rip-off, but apparently she loved it back in the day.
