California Games
Xenophobe
Rampart
Road Blasters
Battle Wheels
Ninja Gaiden (arcade)
Todd's Adventure in Slime World
Chip's Challenge

*EDIT* haha, Freudian slip of sorts, I thought you wrote Jaguar ... 3DO I don't quite have any strong recommendations for.

I think you are the proud owner of two consoles with the worst libraries ever.
I'd like to see if anyone does have any recommendations for these consoles.

Yeah, that is a challenge.... I love Return Fire for the 3DO, that's totally worth while and held up pretty good with age... not sure what else to suggest for the 3D0, Samurai Shodown and Super Street Fighter II Turbo I guess but mostly cause they were the best ports at the time...

Star Control 2 for the 3do. It is also the native hardware for Gex, I think, and that's a decent game.

yeah, i mostly got these because a friend was about to trash them and I'd like to add them to my collection. But I'd still like to be able to fire up some decent gaming on them when I want to show em off.

For the 3DO I can mention a few titles like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Myst, Alone in the Dark 1 and 2, Crash 'n Burn is fun too. For the Lynx I can mention California Games, Blue Lighting and S.T.U.N. Gunner.

I absolutely *love* the arcade ports for the Lynx. Ones I played constantly:
Paperboy
Roadblasters
Ms. Pacman
Joust
Paperboy is one of the closest home versions for any console - most took liberties with the obstacles and other game mechanics.

I had fun with Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller, Syndicate, Psychic Detective, and the Shockwave games on the 3DO

So true ...
LYNX had the best home version of Xenophobe (prior to the Midway Arcade Treasures direct ports)
and it's still the ONLY system (that I'm aware of) with the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden (and it's a great port of it.)

After looking through the above suggestion thread, I'm really shocked that I forgot to recommend Warbirds for LYNX.
Fantastic arcade-y (though nearly sim considering how simple biplanes operated) WWI flight combat!!
3DO
Road Rash
Need for Speed
and as party games go...

Warbirds is a fantastic multiplayer game. It's pretty decent on it's own, but it's strongest when Comlynxed with another player. I used to play it against a former cargo plane pilot, and it was craploads of fun.
Battlewheels is supposed to be a great game, along the lines of Warbirds (just on the ground), but I didn't like it at all. It seems like another game that would be great in multiplayer, but I haven't had the chance to try that out yet.

My fave Lynx games include Xenophobe, California Games, Blue Lightning, Todd's Adventures in Slime World, Chips Challenge and Zarlor Mercenary. There's also a really good Lemmings port if you need one. Alpine Games is supposed to be absolutely stunning, but I haven't picked that up yet...
It's been so long since I sold off my 3DO that I can't think of anything off hand that was especially good except Super Street Fighter II X, which was pretty much the only reason I owned a 3DO at all... ;)

it's good...but it is also identical to the PS1 version...so if you already own that, don't bother
