Hi I just bought a nintendo virtual boy from ebay, its in good shape and works but its a little dirty. I can clean the system, controller, ac and stand but I dont know how to clean the visor. Is there anyway I can clean the visor without ruining it? can I wash it in the washer?
Thanks in advance :)

In the washer?? I wouldn't recommend that at all.
Just scrub it out the old fashioned way. Use a toothbrush if you have to.

I'm guessing you mean the visor shade. As I said in this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110438):
My guess would be a steam iron from a distance and febreeze. You may want to contact Dog-P.

Good lord, how much reassurance do you want? Either try it or don't. Don't ask for advice then question it numerous times.
What *I* did was use a slightly damp washcloth. The visor's made of a cloth-covered spongue-like material. Get it soaking wet, and you'll NEVER dry it out.
Just detach the visor off of the pole eyes, flatten it out a bit, and brush/scrub it with the damp cloth. Be sure to clean the edges where earlier owner's sweaty, oily foreheads would have been. Let it dry. Then shake any lint that may be on it (or use a lint roller brush). Ta-da. Will it be "like new?" Nope, but it'll be cleaner than it was.
I'm certain earlier suggestions will work fine too.

Place in a net bag to protect it from other items
Toss into the washer on cold.
Air dry after washing.

I just washed mine yesterday in hot water and dish soap in the kitchen sink..I let it hang to dry and it's good as new..
I need a headset though.
One side/looking into the unit I can't see anything and I don't know how to fix it.

Have you looked into fixing it? I had the red lines problem, and after modifying a bit to get the dang thing open it wasn't too hard to fix. I don't recall if a 'blank socket' could be fixed by the same method (i.e. baking), though.
And whenever I post about a VB, I like to put out there that I need a stand for mine on the cheap. Anyone?

Written by DP's own DogP. Will probably work for your specific issue as well. It worked for me.

Yup, that's the guide I used, I just couldn't remember if blank screens could be fixed that way. Looks like they can. FYI, I baked the screens 3 times I think. It seems like that guide may be a bit conservative on the times/temps. My successful 3rd time I set it at 190 (from 170) and left it in for 5 or 6 minutes.
