I found this article earlier this morning and was thinking to myself shortly after reading it, who is going to pick up the Marvel liscense now? Capcom.....we're looking in your direction.....get that checkbook back out and start working on Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Or better yet, M vs. C vs. SNK??? if thats possible.

You mean Marvel fighting license right? Activision still holds the Marvel video game license. They have it for the next 10 years.

oh ok, I misunderstood what they were talking about. The fighting liscense is what MVC would be anyway right? so if they did pick it up they could do another MVC game if I'm not mistaken.

Wait, you mean there will be no sequel to Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects?!?

I'd buy it.

Unfortunately, Capcom would still be using those fifteen year old sprites... or make everything 3D. Yech.

Hopefully they would give it the "HD" treatment like the upcoming SSFII Turbo HD Remix...

I'm signing up for that one. This is the battle I want more than anything else: Nick vs. Kingpin. It would just be so incredibly ironic, what with the Kingpin's defense lawyers getting him off all the time and Nick saying "HELL no, I'm not taking your case!" and him sweating rickets when he realizes he just challenged a 400 lb. pure-muscle behemoth to mortal combat. Heh...

Also, Gene from God Hand vs. Deadpool: Whose motor mouth is the most mackinest? LOL

Marvel vs Capcom vs SNK huh? Damn that would be cool. Oh crap, they should throw in DC to keep the video game/comic sources in balance. Give SSBB a run for their money. :)

Amazing how this thread turned into ZOMG! MVC3! when there's nothing else saying that it would happen.

Shows the rabid blind fandom that the game brings. People DO WANT an MVC3, and I even remember that it was one of the franchises that Capcom wanted to revitalize too, when asked about other sequels aside from SF4.

Its all in Marvel's ball court. If they knew the fan demand, maybe. But that's a job for someone to start up: A PETITION. Let them know while there's a chance, yknow?

I've also noticed that a lot of companies have been doing thier market research and making sequels or remakes of games that are in high demand whether it be e-bay prices or just common talk amongst fans on the internet. Look at Valkyrie Profile on PSP, they saw the high demand and re-released it. Then there is Nights where there was so much talk for so long about people wanting a sequel and finally they answered the fan's request. Disgaea 2 I'm sure was made simply because they did the research and saw the demand for the series. Nintendo released the virtual console simply for the fact that they saw there was still plenty of people paying for the older games still. If Capcom has done any of thier market research (which is a vital part of running a business like that) they probably already at least have it in mind because they have seen the demand for the Marvel vs capcom and other fighting games that have used the liscense. Whether or not it'll actually happen is a different story.

That SSFII Turbo HD Remix image looks incredible!

Too bad that can't be SF Alpha 3...I found SSFII Turbo to be insanely difficult.

By the way, what system is HD Remix being released on?
