I'm looking for a (legit) unused copy of XP Pro. I need it for a class that is based around a program that runs only in Windows. :-/ I'd buy a copy off the net but I'm still in that poor student phase (and it can't wait for "economic relief checks")
If anyone has an extra copy laying around that they are willing to part with please let me know.
I'm willing buy or possibly trade something.

I have a copy of XP Home Upgrade (you can get a cheap Windows 98 and install that...) It's on eBay, if you want it - but I can take it off if you want to trade something for it. The program shouldn't have problems running in XP Home.

The program in question is Solidworks and it says XP Pro in its requirements.
It also says Vista, but doesn't specify a "version".
check with your school.
Sometimes they can get really cheap academic pricing.
Also try running the program in a virtual machine running an xp vhd(virtual hard disk).
you can probably find a trial VHD that expires in 30 days on microsofts website.

Looks like MS only offers Vista as a VHD. The only problem with that is the fact that I'd need it for more than 30 days.
I guess I'll have to investigate and see what I can find out from my school.
But if anyone has an extra copy I'm still looking.
I think I may have a legit license on my Technet subscription since im using vista ultimate 64bit.
PM me with a trade list.
