Just wanted to know if Persona 3 is out of print or if they are still shipping copies of the game out. I just found a couple of sealed copies at a K-Mart near my work and picked one up because I noticed its slightly going up in value. So are these newly shipped copies or is the K-Mart I go to just not good at moving thier game stock?

Also on a side note, an army recruiter was looking in the games department and was trying to get me to sign up for the army as I was buying Persona 3. Claimed he was "looking for Call of Duty 4". I told him I'm not interested because people telling me what to do makes me mad. Just thought I'd add that as a side note on my trip to K-Mart.

most likely just the usual K-mart lack or ability to move product...I've gotten quite a few good deals on games they dropped to clearance.

Yeah, I think it's just because not many buy their games from K-Mart, so they'll have a lot of older stuff that's sold out everywhere else. I just picked up Persona 3 from K-Mart a couple weeks ago. Paid full price, which is something I rarely do but since all the other stores I checked were sold out and sealed copies are selling for $70-$80 on Ebay, I didn't mind.

I almost bought it at K-Mart but the dood working there told me it was $60 I think he wanted it. Under a week later it was gone and it was sitting there for MONTHS!

Yea, my K-mart had 1. Although I was there the friday before and there were none. So I waited a few weeks, cause I though they sold the others quickly. 3 weeks later it was still there. So I bought it.

My local Sears had two copies of this game, brand new, at MSRP ($50). They looked like they'd been there for months... which is odd, the game is out of stock everywhere else locally.

At meijers a couple of weeks ago they had it on clearance for 29.99. i purchased the last 2 copies.

i would think if they were clearancing them that there are no more shipments coming in.

Man, you're lucky. Last month I drove all over town and must have hit up 7 or 8 different Meijer's stores looking for one of those clearance copies. Every single one I went to was sold out. That's when I bit the bullet and bought one at full price from K-Mart.

I did manage to find a Karaoke Revolution Country for $10, which was a sweet find. Still would have loved to find one of those $30 Persona 3's though.

I hopped on this bandwagon months ago and have bought everyone I have run across lately to re-sell. I've had about 15 sealed copies in recent months that I've made a nice return on. The Meijer clearance really paid dividends...

I found my copy at Sears too. I didn't have any luck finding a clearance copy at Meijer. :( But at least I found a copy. It's amazing this game went OOP so fast. Sure it happens to Atlus games all the time, but I wasn't expecting it this quickly.

I just picked up two at Kmart as well. Does anyone know if it would be possible to have them price-match to the Meijer clearance price?

No. Stores won't price match clearance items.

I'm surprised Sears hasn't clearenced them out yet, if they aren't yet im sure they will be soon. When I worked there I made a killing :P

I picked up my copy on release day, before it was cool.

So did I. Even worse...I bought it to play! All this time I could've made $10 profit. Big time.

Hey, for some of us the only way to afford games is to buy and sell. I can't justify a $50 purchase, but I really want this game. So I buy an extra to sell and hopefully make back some money. If not, then I'll sell them both. It's the only way I can enjoy the games I want to play.

Easy there. I sell games on ebay from time to time too. Nothing wrong with that. This thread just reads kind of funny to people who actually like playing the game.

I bought the game when it first came out, and I was playing the game a little last night. I also picked up that sealed copy to hold onto. I thought copies of this were as good as gone but people are still finding them. I probably won't sell the sealed one for a long time so its going to sit on my shelf with the strategy guide for it.

I got mine at gamestop and got the final gutted copy with tape on the out box (which rips the color off the box if removed...) but I wanted to play the game anyway so I bought it (since I had not seen one anywhere else yet). I couldent get into it as hard as I tried, I didnt hate it infact I like it, but I know the game is a big time sink taking like 60-70+ hoursto beat and I knew I would never beat it so its back on the shelf.
