Natsume Championship Wrestling SNS-7W-USA Natsume 1994
Shien's Revenge SNS-OO-USA Vic Tokai 1994

The following are listed with incorrect codes, they should be:

Brainies, The SNS-B7-USA Titus 1994
Fatal Fury SNS-GN-USA Takara 1992
Soldiers of Fortune SNS-UD-USA 1993

The following game should be added:

Jimmy Connors Pro Tennis Tour SNS-JC-USA 1992

It's funny I thought I had added the Connors game - we had a discussion here about that one recently. Got it now, as well as your updates. Thanks agani! The updated SNES list should be online in the next day or two tops.

Here are a few more:

Barbie: Vacation Adventure SNS-ABVE-USA Hi Tech Express 1994
MLBPA Baseball SNS-XH-USA Electronic Arts 1994
Lord of Darkness SNS-IZ-USA 1994*

*Tech Note: You have this listed as "Nobunaga's Ambition 3: Lord of Darkness" SNS-NZ-USA. The NZ code is for "Nobunaga's Ambition" The IZ code is for "Lord of Darkness" You might want to consider relisting this as simply "Lord of Darkness" as this is what the Box, Cart and Manual all depict.

The following is listed with an incorrect code, it should be:

Wolf Child SNS-WH-USA Virgin 1992

I should have Bronkie for you before the end of the week.

I am very impressed with your timely updates.

Yes, we are left with just 3 remaining SNES games on the Rarity List's U.S. Game Releases section without ID Codes.

Universal Soldier
Super Noah's Ark
Bronkie the Bronchiasaurus

Now, to dispense with these truculant enigmas.

1. Universal Soldier- after an exhaustive six sigma search of the Internet and all known reliable sources, I have found no known ID Code for this game. Therefore, it should be relegated to the "Rumor Mill" section of the SNES Rarity List until such time as it honors it presence on the U.S. Games Releases section with a documented SNS-xx-USA code.

2. Super Noah's Ark- This game should be put in a section all its own, i.e. "Unlicensed Games" as this is what it is and therefore by definition has no known ID Code.

3. Bronkie the Bronchiasaurus- Yes this is or was, I should say, the last known ID Code to be found on the SNES Rarity List...the omega code ...and here it is:

SNES-AB6E-USA

It arrived in the mail today. "Endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and supported by ASTRA, a global leader in respiratory research" A fitting game to complete this quest!

But is our work all done? Nay, for there are still games out there whose ID Codes need to be found who reside, or should reside in the "Rumor Mill" section. Games like:

Bobb'y's World
RHI Roller Hockey '95
Warrior of Rome III

plus:

Mickey's Playtown Adventure: A Day of Discovery
Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters
Super Soccer Champ 2
Rally: The Final Round of the World Rally Championship
Warlords of Crom- whose ID code was thought to be SNS-WL-USA until it was discovered that the WL code belonged to "Wheel of Fortune"

and the nefarius "Universal Soldier", whose existance has as yet to be documented.

Many thanks indeed should be given to the Digital Press crew for their unceasing efforts in bringing all of their talents to bear in providing all of us gamers with this invaluable resource.

I bid you adeau,

Eratosthenes

I have the old Vidpro store plaques for most of the titles listed. The information here is pulled directly from the plaques which sometimes do contain typos:

Bobby's World - Hi-Tech Expressions
SNS-ABWE-USA 1994

RHI Roller Hockey '95 - American Softworks/Radical Entertainment
SNS-ARHE-USA 1993

Warrior of Rome III - Extreme Entertainment
SNS-35-USA 1994 (Absolute Entertainment)
Battery backup and SNES mouse support

Rally: Final Round..Championship - JVC
SNS-ARCE-USA 1994 (Europress Software)

Super Soccer Champ 2 - Taito
SNS-2Y-USA 1994

Mickey's Playtown Adventure - Hi-Tech Expressions
SNS-AMPE-USA No date (Disney games/movies never have one!)
for ages 4 to 7

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters - Toho Co Ltd.
SNS-AG2E-USA 1995

I do not have plaques for Universal Soldier or Warlords Of Crom. If anyone wants a scan of any of these plaques (front and back shots of the box), just let me know. Most are printed OK, but some are slightly blurry.

mhhh does anyone knows what this -P- in the mid of some codes means? for me it seems random if it's in the code or not, i've seen a lot of games where it is in the code on the box but not on the cart or instructions, so whats up with that?

and another one, what do the country codes FRG and NOE exactly mean??
i know for sure that NOE are game released in Germany but were they also released in Austria and Switzerland?? and what about FRG (could be Federal Republic of Germany) it's Germany but i also found this code on games with German+French or German+Italian instructions which makes me think they are swiss releases (Switzerland has German, French and Italian speaking people/regions)

and what about the -1 or -2 at the end of some codes? is this in every code but not always printed or what?

Mayhem

Just checked my carts on all bits... yes things are labelled slightly differently. The box (where I was quoting my stuff from) has the format for the later releases as SHVC-P-xxxx(JPN) whilst on the manual and cart itself, it is listed as SHVC-xxxx-JPN. Perhaps "P" is the coding for packaging, as in box? An individual part number? Anyhow, whoever in charge of adding the codes to the list, redo the format as you see fit ;)

As for the abbreviations, NOE = Nintendo of Europe (general English release aka the one for the UK?) and FRG I'm guessing would be what you said.

You can add any serial codes that are on the list I have created:

http://snescentral.znes.org/articles/snescartlist.xls

I was wondering if it would be possible for me to use the serial codes for my own list... you seem to have uncovered serial codes for games that I thought were unreleased in the North American market. For instance, I thought that Asterix was only released in the pal region.

That would be terrific! If you've got a bunch I'd be happy to include you on the list of contributors as well. Send 'em along (or post 'em here)!

i take out those -P- in the middle of some, don't ask me why some have a JPN at the end and some don't i think thats one of the undiscovered id-code mysteries :p i got pics of all of these if u need some. if ebay pics wouldn't be that blurry i would have had about 100 more codes :(

ehm first one european only release:

Super Morph SNS-ASMP-EUR

Japanese i own, so it's 100% correct!

13e Rally Big Run: The Supreme 4WD Challenge SHVC-BR (well, i can't find the 13e Rally on the box, for me it's Jaleco Rally Big Run......)
Der Langrisser SHVC-ALGJ-JPN (watch out, wrong code already in guide "ALOJ")
Dragon Quest V SHVC-D5
Dragon Quest VI SHVC-AQ6J-JPN
Far East Of Eden Zero SHVC-AZRJ-JPN (you should add the japanese name with aka...)
Fire Emblem III SHVC-EM (well only 99% sure it's part three, couldn't dump it but has ©1993, has a long subtitle and has EM which makes me think it must be the first sfc version)
Front Mission: Gun Hazard SHVC-AZGJ-JPN
Pro Soccer SHVC-PS
Seiken Densetsu 3 SHVC-A3DJ-JPN
Sim Earth SHVC-SE
Street Fighter II Turbo SHVC-TI

Tales Of Phantasia SHVC-ATVJ-JPN
Treasure Hunter G SHVC-AEGJ-JPN
Yokozuna Monogatari SHVC-5U

Japanese i have but not yet dumped to confirm them

Otogirisou SHVC-OT (well this is a Sound Novel game by Chun Soft ©1992, and code is OT so i'm pretty sure it is this game)
Naki No Ryo SHVC-RY
Power Sokoban???? SHVC-BPSJ-JPN, 1999 Nintendo Release, seller said it was named so but it could perhaps be Power Warehouse, it's a Puzzle game where u play a little devil, but it's not really like sokoban, ©1999 Nintendo ©1982,1998 Thinking Rabbit << is this the sokoban developer??

Japanese taken from Ebay, pretty sure they are correct

Cyber Spin aka Cyber Formula SHVC-CF (well, this doesn't seem to be the full name of the game)

F-Zero SHVC-FZ
J-League Excite Stage '94 SHVC-JL
Pilotwings SHVC-PW
Rendering Ranger RČ SHVC-AVCJ-JPN

Sim City SHVC-SC
Star Fox SHVC-FO
Super Air Diver SHVC-AZ
Super Donkey Kong SHVC-BX (you should perhaps add an aka DKC to the DK games)
Super Mario Kart SHVC-MK
Super Mario World SHVC-MW (well, you should rename this one as the jao box says: Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World)
Super Mario World 2, don't know the code, but you should rename it to SMW2: Yossy Island as this is the name used on the box
Super Metroid SHVC-RI (well, don't know why it's RI)
World Soccer SHVC-WO

Japanese taken from Ebay, not totally sure if it's the right game:

Kirby Bowl SHVC-CG (well, this is a Kirby game and it's artwork seems to be a course from kirbys dreamcourse, the seller said it's name was Kirby no Kirakira Kids)

Sotsugyou Bangaiheki Ne Ma, this is how the seller called this game, it's made by KSS, code is SHVC-A2KJ-JPN, i suppose it could be an anime license, not sure about this, any anime fan here so i could send u the scan??

Super Fire Pro Wrestling SHVC-FP (not totally sure if it's the first one but as it's code is FP i'd say it is the first one, it also has the english name on the box without any numbers)

Takeda Nobuhiro Soccer, SHVC-JV, not sure which of the both Takeda Soccer Games it is :(

Zen Nihon Pro Resu Dash SHVC-2J well i think this is the Unconfirmed Zennihon in your list as it is made by NCS Masaya, it is a wrestling game

Magic Sword SHVC-MO
Metal Max 2 SHVC-MX

why didn't u add the aka name of Far East of Eden Zero??
all the Sim XX games have wrong format without Space after Sim (SimXX), i think this happened to a lot of games, some bug in the database ?? also StarFox

i'll try to dump that Power Sokoban game soon, so we can add the game or code

i'm now sure that the kirby game is Kirby Bowl, you can add the code (SHVC-CG)

i'm also sure about Super Fire Pro Wrestling, code SHVC-FP

ok update

the Power "Sokoban" game i have is........

.... Power Warehouse SHVC-BPSJ-JPN Rel. 06/25/99 (not 01/01/99 as stated in the guide), 01/01/99 was the start of rewriting the game, sales day 06/25/99, check http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n02/shvc/bpsj/index.html

but perhaps i misunderstood the text and release was 01/01/99 i don't
understand japanese, so i had to use babelfish

another strange thing about this game is the fact that the rom is actually called Power Soukoban (J) (NP), this is really weird, but as the above info are from an nintendo site i suppose that the rom is called wrong OR warehouse is a translation of soukoban, does anyone know if this is true??

The format is without the spaces intentionally. Isn't that correct? If not it's very easy to change across the database. It's not a glitch - it's my brain!

oops, sorry

it's japanese name is Tengai Makyo Zero afaik

i'm pretty sure the Sim games are Sim XX, at least the pc versions, i don't know if thats the case for Starfox/Starwing though, the typical Mega Man problem

btw what do u think of adding Maxis as developer to all Sim games?
