View Full Version : Curious about value of some NGPC titles

On occasion I get requests via e-mail from people that are looking to sell things since I always have an open invitation on my site (classicplastic.net (http://www.classicplastic.net)) that I will buy used video game items. Now I don't always have the funds to buy what is offered and so forth, but it usually stirs up a good bit of conversation and leads to building a good relationship with those who browse my site. (I respond to EVERY legitimate e-mail I receive)

Anyway, I was just sent a list of NGPC games and I'm curious of the value. I've been wanting to expand my NGP / NGPC library for awhile as the only game I own is Densha de Go! 2. Here are the games and condition as described...

Cardfighters Clash complete UK clamshell version (capcom)
Shanghai Mini complete clamshell
Derby Champ complete clamshell
Pocket Tennis BW clamshell complete

Loose games (with little plastic SNk cases)
Faselei JPN
Pac-Man
Neo Turf Masters
Pac-Man (different version)
Capcom and SNK Cardfighters JPN
Bust-A-Move
Match of Millenium

Oh and I have a carry case and ac adapter also.

So the question is what's the value of the above games in the above condition? Does anything stand out and of course what would you pay / a good offer to give?

Thanks!

Complete prices, look in the online guide, they are still pretty valid (it was valued for complete because most of them still are). Loose carts are only worth $2-5 each.

Ah, that's what I was unsure of, thanks! Off hand, what would you offer for the lot?

I would say around $45-$55 for the lot...I would pass on the loose games though(might be bootlegs). complete B&W NeoGeo Pocket games are uncommon so I'd pick that one up.

some of the prices have gone up and down(Pocket Reversi) since this list was created, but most of the prices still stand today.

The NG guide was another useful reference source when I was putting together the list for here... I still stand by my prices though at the time ;)

(mind you, I am in the process of reassessing them shortly)

As for the Pocket Tennis, depends if it's the Japanese or English language version. English one will be worth a bit more... if it is, it's still not THAT rare (it's the second most common after Fatal Fury R1).

I'm 100% sure they are not. In fact, bootlegs of standalone games are so rare, they would probably be just as or more valuable than a legitimate cart.

well it happened me (more than once) to so I wouldn't say it's 100% impossible...and...wha!?!...I highly doubt bootlegs will ever be worth more than the originals.
