NES/SNES Game Twin console?

Does anyone have one of these? It supposedly plays both NES and SNES games. It's also called an FC Twin:

There are a different number of manufacturers that make these units. FC Twin is one, they play about 99% of the games out there. There are a few games out there though that the machine is not compatible with. I will need to look up which games are not compatible though.

The FC Twin's been mentioned here before. It doesn't beat the real things but to the budget conscious gamer, it's a good alternative to owning an NES and SNES.

Castlevania III is one of the NES games that won't work with it (or any other NES clone, for that matter). I don't remember the others.

Can it do 32 bit games or no? I see that SMRPG is in the list of games it DOESN'T play so I wasn't sure.

You mean 32 megabit ? I would think those would be mentioned if they didn't work.

i've had one for a month now, and so far i havent had any problems with it. It's played every game i've thrown at it so far (even sfc games, you just have to break the two tabs on either side of the snes cart slot like you would with a real snes). my only grip is the calibration doesnt seem right on the control pads. i figure i could fix that with a set of real snes controls but its not that bad. oh, and its a pain to pull the nes games out of the nes cart slot.

One of the local game stores I go to often uses one of these to display games. It seems to work pretty good, much better than the Generation NEX, plus it playes SNES games.

Um, no. SNES was 16 bit. Saturn and PSX were 32 bit.

Either I was thinking of the SNES CD-ROM which was 32bit or the fact that Super Mario RPG and some other games used extra pins... thought they were 32bit.

The FC Twin uses SNES hookups, so No-Go on the zapper.

I owned one when they were new and expensive. I tried a lot of games and never expienced problems with SFA2 or SMRPG.

Prices have really fallen since I bought one and there was a lot of things that claimed before it come out that all changed when they shipped them. Search for the whole thread using my user ID and the words "super nintendo model" to find it. Wasn't a bad system. Was originally titled as Super Nintendo Model 3 which became the FC Twin, the design wasn't what they showed, VGC claimed that they had something exclusive and it wasn't and lastly VGC took pre-orders and dropped the price 5-10 bucks when it came out.

I just got me an FC Twin, and although the Wikipedia list says that Super Mario RPG is not compatible, it does work.

There's a local game store that sells these for $40 if I recall correctly. They always have it on display and quite frankly it's over priced. Their resell value is dirt low and most classic game stores don't accept them as trade-ins. You can purchase a SNES or NES for $30 each making it $5 more expensive and using twice the amount of space but you have the authentic hardware that holds a better value.

these are kind of stupid but i got one because i didn't want to replace the pins on any of my 3 nes and i also like that the down button on the controller works all the time lol. I have no idea what you mean. I've come across 3 out of probably 50 that didn't work. Some I had to clean the pad contacts for them to work well, but that's no big deal.

The video set-up is completely different then what the SNES uses, so, no, you can't use it. No RF option, no S-video option.
