mmk. i have had some questions about some games for my nes that i can not find answers to so i have decided to ask the all-mighty people of retogaming roundtable.
1. i have samus and instead of the grey colored picture on the cartridge mine is bright yellow and red. the man from ebay said this was rare so i picked it up. (same price as in store tho) im wondering if it is a bit more uncommon
2. on the back of my FF1 cartridge there is the very shiny metal plate screwed to the cartridge saying stuff about if u hold restart and then press power it will save the game and it also goes on about a battery inside the cartridge. i was wondering if any1 got this to work and whats it about

What u have is the Hits version of Metroid or the Classics as it was called then. As for the press and hold reset as u turn off the power button. That was how u saved battery backed up games back in the day..Unless they had a password. Well NES games i mean. Didnt have to do that stuff back in the day with the Master System.

thanks, i have been wondering about that. im sorta new to classic gaming. and as for the saving method, for me it kinda resets the saved games or does not save anything or do anything at all, just pretty much gave up on it but its shiny and catchs my attention

this thread has to be a joke.

i can understand someone not knowing that the "yellow and red" metroid (or samus, as he calls it) isn't rare...but someone who doesn't know NES well would not refer to a game by a title other than some variation of what is on the cart.

secondly, the sticker that tells you to hold reset while turning the power off is not "shiny" at all. that and "its shiny and it catchs my attention"...come on, let's be for real.

At least he didn't ask how many Zelda cartridges he'd have to melt down to get a proper gold bar.
