Having played this a fair bit, I can't help but notice how "generous" the game is with awards and ratings. It seems like you can crash 4 times in a race, but still end up getting 1st place, lots of stars, and an "awesome" rating. Perhaps I need to alter a few of the game settings, but has anyone else found that this excellent game tends to be a bit easy?

I don't think most people notice because of how good the game is. It's almost addictive, which doesn't happen often in racing games. Sometimes, you can win by a hair and not even know how you did it.

Early on it is like that, I did find the game to get quite a bit harder later on (maybe it's just me). The awesome rating is mainly geared to how wildly aggressive you drive. The more air, drifting, and stuff like that you do...the easier it is to get awesome ratings. I'm finding now as I'm working on trying to clean up stars from earlier on that it's a good bit harder in some events to get to the awesome rating you need.

This is the reason I went back to Burnout 3, sure it's harder and it takes longer to get Gold Medals for all the runs but I enjoyed the game MUCH MORE than Revenge. Did anyone notice the music on Revenge sucks compared to 3, maybe the music for 3 is just too good for others to surpass.
