Yes, it's mine. I picked it up and don't have any want to collect it, so I'm putting it on the bay. 8-)

Did you put that plastic on it yourself? It looks kind of beat up.

Pretty cool but one question. Did consoles ever come shrinkwrapped?

You have lots of nice View-Master stuff. I sent a link to my friend who is way in to View-Master. Your Peter Pan is not from 1957. They changed from Sawyer's to GAF in the late 60's/early 70's. The copyright is 1957 because that's when they first used those images.

No. Those UPS labels are on the outside of the plastic.

I couldn't tell you for sure, however, the UPS labels are on the outside of the plastic so this wasn't re-sealed.

Pretty sure CD-i systems were never sold shrinkwrapped, at least not in this country. In fact, I'm positive of this because I have obtained at least a couple of the same model from a dealer that was closing down and the box is sealed with a circular sealing sticker on both sides, but no wrap. I also recall seeing lots of these at stores like CompUSA and Fedco in San Diego and they never had wrap. I would be willing to bet that this was a warranty repair from a store return and they just wrapped it and put the UPS stickers on it to save on paying for a box when they sent it out. Also, this is clearly not factory sealed. The circular sealing label is clearly broken. You may want to revise your description to avoid problems down the road when someone opens it and finds it in beat up shape.

I have a Game.com system that is shrink wrapped, but I always wondered if they originally came that way as well.

Hi,
Been meaning to update everyone. This system had shipping labels on it from Magnavox to "Best Electronics" (a former electronics store similar to best buy). However, I felt incredibly nervous and wanting to be 100% sure it was new, opened the plastic.

The box's seal wasn't completely broken but was hanging on by a thread (this thing came from a flea market after years of being stored god knows where!), but again to be sure, I opened it. This thing IS brand new. It was almost worth opening it to be able to see a machine in such perfect condition. I will be re-writing up the auction and putting it up again on Sunday starting at $0.01.

Nobody bid on it? or am I missing something? I noticed too late.
