DMC4 is available today, I was just wondering who is picking it up?

I heard many a gamer complain about the initial loading time on the PS3:

Have these people totally forgotten the time when we would wait 15 minutes on every boot of certain games? Plus, that 20 minutes is a one shot, 5 gig deal. After it's done, supposedly the loading times are minimal at worst.

Of course, I do not have a PS3 so if I do decide to pick it up on the 360, I will get much worse in-game loading times. Seeing as how I still regularly play C64 games, this is not much of an issue for me.

Also of note is this little tidbit that Capcom threw out there:

Apparently, Kobayashi-san has signed 100 of the LE tins (I certainly hope he did so on the inside) and the tins have been randomly re-inserted into the print run. I was going to hold off on this one for a while, but the LE package for this game does look good...

I'm heading out to pick up the PS3 version shortly. It's going to be great fun waiting for the bus in the snow. :)

GameStop sent out my LE 360 version today. I'm guessing it'll show in the mail in a few days as I was in no rush to get it and only paid for 'saver' shipping.

Now what i'm really hoping for is that i'll get one of the 100 signed copies that are being worked out with the rest of the LE's.

Picking up the 360 version today. Curse you! Now I am considering the LE because there's actually something of interest in the box (Getting the anime disk cheap seems kinda worth it.)

It's 67 degrees in NYC, so I'm afraid that when we get snow like other areas we'll be hit really hard :-O

I went nuts today since I havent bought a new console game since Nights on the Wii.

I picked up the Collectors DMC4 for PS3 (didn't like the 360 demo, but I loved DMC and DMC3, plus the CE is so awesome looking).

I also got Karaoke Revolution for 360, which rocks, great song list, but it's too easy.
I also picked up Culdcept for 360, which I have been waiting for since they announced it a while back.

Overall $225 spent on video games, but they'll easily last me until GTA4 comes out, if not longer.

Bought it this afternoon for my 360 (achievement points edged out me getting the PS3 version). Almost got a free DMC plushie with it, but I didn't pre-order :(

WOW!!!

Stylized, and simply gorgeous. And that's only the opening cinema..... Only on the second stage, so I can't really make an overall judgment, yet.

And Gloria = HOTNESS!!!

UPDATE: I will say this..... I hate it when 80% of the achievements are all secret.

I'm dissapointed by the CE. Capcom just stuck the bonus anime DVD into a carboard sleeve and jammed it between the steelbook and the slipcover. It warps the slipcover and makes the steelbook more prone to dents while shipping. The $20 premium over the regular edition is the real kicker though.

I would buy this if Dark Messiahand Lost Odyssey werent coming out on the same day next week. Once I get both of those games I willnever touch DMC aainif I were to buy it, so Ifigured I would save myself $60.

at first I really wanted this game, but after seeing all the mixed reviews I'm now undecided.

I'm going to rent this one, due to the mixed reviews and my store closing. I am tempted to buy, but I really do not want to put down the big bucks until I'm sure I will like it.

Um, it's in my original post, with a link to Capcom's page about it.

Watched some gameplay yesterday. Looks and plays exactly like the other games, which is a good thing.

Looks like achievements will give this one some legs, though not too much I'd think. I will say that the initial install on the PS3 HDD makes the game nearly seamless, which is a nice tradeoff for the nearly 30-minute install.

No worries. I should've looked at the Capcom page a little better myself, as the autograph is on the back of the tin. I cracked open mine yesterday and, no dice :( . Oh well, the case is still gorgeous and of course I am a sucker for steelbooks. I played a bit of the game and I am having fun with it so far. I'm just happy I got the anime DVD sleeve out of the package before it did any real damage to the outer plastic sleeve or dented the steelbook.

Was going to get it but I figured this game is much more of a renter. I mean once you beat it how many are really going to go back and play it again? I know i won't and that's what's stopping me....o and the 60$ pricetag.

PS3 or 360? That is the question. I've played both demos and the PS3 controller feels a little better for this type of game (my hands must have "controller memory" from playing through DMC 1-3). The 360 version has achievements and doesn't have a 30 minute installation. Hmmm.

I think I'm going to go for the 360 version. I hope I don't regret my decision.

FYI: Circuit City is giving out a $10 gift card with purchase of DMC4 or Turok this week.

Apparently the PS3 version has achievements of a sort too, but I have no idea how they work.

I may pick up the 360 one soon, enjoyed the demo.

How difficult is DMC4?, I haven't played the other games in the series.

if you live in Canada, Bestbuy has both Turok and DMC 4 for both Xbox 360 and PS3 for 89.99, which I am probably going to do, I think I will buy it for PS3 mainly because my 360
RROD again.

I tell ya, if there was one multiplatform game I would rather have on the 360, it is this one. But alas, I was sent the PS3 version. After the 20-some minute intall, the game is a hit.

DMC4 is not as brutally hard as 3 was, so its going to captivate, and not infuriate, a much larger audience.

Yeah... I hate that too. I'm waiting until all of them are found/revealed before I play this. Hopefully nothing is TOO hard achievement-wise. :)

Secret Achievements should be reserved for ones that may give away part of the story, like Enchanted Arms. I hate when they're used other than in that way.

i brought mine home and played a few levels, love it! i think its funny that beating the game only nets 2 achievements, totally 30 pts lol. dont worry about missing anything since you can replay any previous mission and go back and find/beat the secret missions you couldnt/didnt before.

i have the 360, and while there are load times, its not long or bad at all. it doesnt install but it doesnt need to, plays great!

controls for the 360 i love, but thats largely cause i enjoy the 360 controller so much, it feels great and the game works wonderfully for it, it lets you remap the buttons which was a nice touch.

graphics are amazing at 1080p. i say the game is worth it all around. and the CE is 10$ over the regular price (60 vs 70) the dvd you get they say cost 20 normally... i just love CEs in general. i dont care 10 bucks for a nice steel box isnt much. i loooove deluxe packaging.
