I had tons of carts with permanent marker on the plastic. Tried everything and usually alcohol would lighten it... but not get rid of it.

Picked up a pack of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and put a little alcohol on one... very little elbow grease and BAM it was gone!!

Pair one of these up with Goo Gone and it eats those metallic VOID VOID VOID rental sticker residues up!!

All they are is a slight abbrasive... like super fine sandpaper; but with a sponge so it absorbs it.

Be careful near paper labels though... they rub right off! haha

I use soft scrub orange cleanser but it's abbrasive so you have to becareful. I'll try out your method when I pick the supplies.

It's probally the same concept but usually use the rough side of those scrubby sponges(5 in a pack at dollar stores) It's good for plastic with any texture that the ink gets down in.

I still havn't gound a good way to get permanent marker off when it's on the label though.

Marker on labels... long as they are glossy labels, you can use rubbing alcohol and gently scrub it.

Sometimes it works for me but other times I ether can't get it all off, or I fade the label. It probally depends on the label and the ink used. Maybe the alchohol too...I think mine is pretty watered down.

Magic erasers are the best! If you are going to use them a lot, just make sure you are in a well ventilated area. Tiny dust particles break off from the eraser and attack my respiratory system every time. But they clean marker right off.

As for marker on labels, I like to take 1 drop of isopropyl alcohol on the end of a q-tip and rub the mark gently. If that does not work, use your finger nail to scrape it off. I have had many games with the letter P or PPG or names, etc. It has worked almost every time.

I recently bought a wavebird controller and it had the name Ben Chapman on it. He must have been getting jacked by his friends or something.

Anyway, I used some rubbing alcohol and it faded a little. I improvised and used an eraser that comes with some kind of brush in a boot cleaning kit. They are the one's you can get at foot locker and such stores. Any traces of Ben Chapman were completely gone after about 20 seconds.

Yep... goo gone, magic erasers, and Brasso (or Mr. Metal) together are a powerhouse of cart game cleaning. Although I don't use alcohol on anything- and I still get good results.
