Does Chocobo Tales qualify as a final fantasy title?

I am collecting all final fantasy games, including games like FF12: Revenent Wings, as that's a direct spin off of FF12, and Final Fantasy Tactics as that's a major part of the series as well. However, I also got Chocobo Tales, and it doesn't seem to 'fit' on the shelf. Would you guys consider FF Fables Chocobo Tales to qualify as part of this 'collection'? It doesn't seem to fit, it's so silly and unnecessary... I dunno.

i, personally consider it. along with the Playstation Chocobo game and the 4 Final Fantasy games for Gameboy that are actually SaGa and "of Mana" games.

I like Chocobo's. ALOT. And the title does say Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Tales.

The difference with Ehrgeiz is that it was a normal arcade fighting game with two hidden Final Fantasy characters in it. The home port ramped up the number included in a sorry ass attempt to generate sales by exploiting Final Fantasy's hotness. Pre-exploitation, it was really no more a Final Fantasy fighting game than it was a Tekken spinoff.

...but I'd probably include it for the same reasons that Poofta would include the GB Saga and Mana games (because of the way they were marketed).

But even discounting all of that shit, it's a game built from the ground up as a game staring a recurring Final Fantasy character.

Choco Tales uses alot of familiar faces from the FF universe, so if a game set in a FF qualifies as a true FF game is up for debate,since it is really a minigame collection. If you wanna be a completest I say own every game relating to the FF series, this one included.
