I'm the proud owner of a Virtua Hamster prototype for the Sega 32X. I know the game was never finished, but I was wondering how many versions of the game are out there? My version looks fairly far along, it has an options screen, some nice music and decent graphics (in heavily pologoned 32X style). You can pick up items while traveling through the maze, but there doesn't seem to be any collision detection between you and the other maze inhabitints. Anyone have more info on the game?
This game had promise, too bad it got canned.

Damn.
Just from the name, I would have bought that.

I've been interested in finding out more on this game too. I would reccomend dumping the rom for archiving, since there's prob not too many copies out there. Or are there? Can't say I've ever seen one before, or even a rom for that matter.

Here's a link from the man himself: http://www.q-design.com/examples/Games/Hamster.html
My cart looks just like the one he has on his site (the alpha version) so I'm guessing this was as far as it got. Neat game though.

Just watch out for the detours in the maze. I've heard some of them lead straight into Richard Gere.

Unfortunately there isn't much to play with. You run through the maze for a bit and that's it. No objectives and no enemies.
