ok now i was wonderin, is there any sort of doccument from sega basicly stating:
we dont support these systems any longer modify them how you wish

on another message board some of my questions are getting deleted because they "think i am breaking the lawr" how ever theyre more geared twards circuitry and over clocking so i have more specific questions for them

if they think modifying something THEY purchased is breaking the law, either they are 12 years old or complete morons.

the only reason you couldn't modify a console is that it would break the warranty. since the warranties have all expired, you are fine.

i thought it has something to do with changing the bios, or circumventing the lockouts or something. changing the code or some bs.

someone else can let you know, but i'm pretty sure there's a law against it. or maybe not?

Technically the DMCA prohibits circumventing copy protection, but it's a pretty flimsy, unenforceable prohibition. Any other modification is perfectly legal, unless you manage to violate FCC regulations or something.

so ading a reigon switch isnt really breaking any DMCA protection. the DMCA is like the FCC, they just need to go the hell away.
