I picked this up just unnaturally cheap on eBay not too long ago, and have been playin' the hell out of it since I got it. For those into PS1 imports and/or retro compilations, 3-In-1 Arcade Classics (http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/edit/3in1/) is just the ticket you're looking for. Click the above link for screen shots aplenty and a rundown of what's in the collection.

BTW, I have a theory that I'm the only living person that still remembers working patterns for Space Chaser LOL
Half kidding aside... nice find there dude :) Both Space Chaser and Crazy Balloon are some of my earliest arcade memories right after Space Invaders. You're right in that the Japs did "get it" as these compilations are some of the coolest ones around. I had to resort to downloading these games somewhere a couple of years ago, so all I have are burned copies of Space Chaser and Crazy Balloon. However, they are on seperate discs. I never knew that it also came on a single disc along w/ Qix. :hmm:
One other cool thing about it is even in Mame, those games are relatively incomplete and poorly emulated >:( (Both Space Chaser and Crazy Balloon have little - rudimentary sound). So it's nice to have a full blown reproduction on the PSX.

Thanks for the review, Earl!
Well, now I know the next PSX game I'll be hunting down.

Nice review...that's why I love your site, you review stuff like this that 99% of the population would ignore.
Now, if we can just get these things released Stateside...
