I had a strange customer call me and ask me this question today. I honestly had no idea how to get pass that. This girl over the phone was really nice up until she praised the manager, whom was "ALOT nicer" according to her.

So to get sweet revenge, I know she will call tommorrow. I want to know, HOW do you get an Xbox 360 repaired with the 3RR's, if it's registered under another name.

Now she bought the system used from our store, but we gave her the information already how to get it fixed. Sadly, Microsoft kicked her back, telling her to get the original person's info. Which is just plain sad.

I'd like to know also. I have a co-workers 360 that he called to send in because of the RRoD. He was told it was registered to someone else and he needed to know the address to send it in.

I'd be really impressed if there was a way to do this. It is common practice for any manufacturer to deny service to second hand/resold merchandise.

Microsoft makes no money off of used sales, why would they support it?

Ditto, but there has to be a way.

The only way I can think of having it repaired in this case is to send it to an independent repair service.

I just recently sent back a 360 registered under someone else's name and all they did was ask for my information in case anything was ever reported stolen. They accepted the xbox now I am just awaiting its return.
