We're having a shindig at my place on Saturday May 3rd and I need the import Dance Dance Revolution for Dreamcast. I have a bunch of DDRs for PSX but bleemCast doesn't work with it.
Any condition, as long as it works!
HELP!

Why don't you just get the PS version?
*confused*

Because the Dreamcast version has better songs, silly.

I have it Joe, but you can't have it!

Because I have a Dreamcast hooked up via VGA box to a big monitor. I could play the PSX versions but I'd need to hook the PSX up and I don't have a VGA box for it. Also the Dreamcast just "belongs" in this room for now.

Let's share this with the gaming forum, twice the exposure can't hurt!

Joe, I'm in the process of setting myself up a gaming area much like yours... could you give some details on yours? I'm a little short on what the best way to do everything is... you seem to have some seriously kickass controllers and I'm not sure how to go about hooking as many things as I can to a monitor.

I should probably warn you that DDR does not work with the VGA box. I even tried the trick of setting the box to TV and switching it back to VGA at the right time. I got nothing. It only uses the Dreamcast's lower resolution anyway, so it would probably look about as pixellated as the old MCGA mode on PCs. It's likely not a big loss.

Joe, your best solution lies at www.stepmania.com download that sim then head on over to a site like www.ddrei.com.
Of course, these wouldnt work unless you want to download a bunch of simfiles over the course of a few days :(
DDR for dreamcast, I havent seen anywhere. So I could PROBABLY make a CD with all the simfiles I have for stepmania and possibly mail it to you. ;)

DDR might work in vga mode if you use the DCX boot disc

@Everyone: thanks for your help! I think I'm all set up now - except for the VGA issue which might just kill my plan here anyway. Well I suppose I could put the dance pads on the big-screen TV area but it's usually pretty "busy" there so it's a distant second choice.
@Chadtower: email me, I'd be happy to give you some details if I can help in any way. The more great game rooms out there, the better! digitalpress@email.com
