I was digging through my attic the other day (looking for old game stuff I might have stored there) and came across my old nintendo storage thing. http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=199076 Of course I brought it down and am now using it as another place to stick my carts. :) I was curious as to how many others own this or have seen it, maybe getting an idea of its rarity. The only blemish on it is the little mario and luigi sticker that I stuck on it as a kid, which I'll probably take off soon. Oh, and the middle part does fold down making another place to store stuff, I'm assuming controllers. Thanks in advance for any info, comments, etc. :D

Saw one once on eBay. It was empty so I didn't realise how small it was.

I'd leave the sticker on.

hey i used to have that. i would think i either got it at toysrus or kay-bees. You know you put your nes on top there and your carts below i think the middle is a door. and i used to wheel it in front of the TV, untill my dad wanted to watch the news. He made me unhook everything and wheel it into the corner. never seen once since.

hey man, my friend had that when he was a kid. One year it snowed real hard, we broke it up and tried using it parts as a snowboard, true story. Stupid kids we were...

I have one in my living room right now. The Gamecube is sitting on it with its extra items stored in the cabinet and the games on the rack. Just the right size for the GC.

I've got one, but it's of a different style. I think it's just as short, but a little wider. Mine never had stickers I don't think though.

On a different note, I have the product catalog with them in it from an old issue on Nintendo Power. I'm going to scan it in like a month or so and post it on my site. There were several styles of the Nintendo furniture, IIRC.

I saw one like yours in a flea market..The vendor wanted $25.00 for it..as I talked his price down..I took a good look at it,it was all really beat up...so I passed..

I just have this wide NES cart holder now...with a door on it.
That was found in a friends attic..

I remember seeing those at Toys R Us. It had been a while but if my memory hasn't failed me it used to sell for about $40.

This is what I don't understand (nothing against you personally cap'n nintendo) Why people say they are gauwdy, ugly, obtrusive, funky, etc.? It's white and red particle board....when it gets down to it, it's not much different than your arcade cabs or colorwise, Nascar "stuff". It's not much bigger than other gameroom furniture, shelving, etc. Albeit, definatley shows it was a product of the 80's or early 90's, but back then, white, black, and red were Nintendo's flag ship colors right? Personally I love mine and it makes a great addition to my room of doom and an extremely handy storage unit for spare manuals.

:hmm:
