I know, I know...not another thread about an RPG that I just started and probably won't finish anytime soon, but Metal Saga is actually kind of neat. It's turn-based, you get to ride around in tanks, it's an open-ended game with multiple endings and it's cheap new at Gamestop right now. For an Atlus title, that's pretty good.

Anyway, has anyone played this game and does anyone know where I go in the town to buy a vehicle? I'm also excited about the idea of adopting a dog in the game and then fitting him with armor and missiles.

Weird part is, I own the DS version of this game too, but since I can't read Japanese, I never got past the title screen.

It feels strange to bump my own thread, but this game seems to trail off into "make your own adventure" land because after the first boss, and it's hard to figure out what to do next. It's kind of like a Grand Theft Auto-RPG because you can go anywhere, but the enemies are all machines or plants during the random encounters.

Doesn't anyone else here own it and would like to give their thoughts?

I bought the game a few months ago because I found it new a EB for $19.99. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to give it a spin yet, so I can't comment on it. I do agree that it looks interesting.

I was unaware that this game has been released on the DS. Iam guessing not in North America, correct?

Yeah, here is a Playasia link to the DS version.

That's where I got it, but I could never play it before because I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. Now, after playing the PS2 game, it might not be that hard but I think it's in a box somewhere, so I need to find it first. I don't think Atlus will release it here, though, since I'm sure it didn't sell very well on the PS2.
