View Full Version : DP Folding@Home team?
Well I was curious at seeing what F@H was all about and found it interesting enough keep on, if not just as a shuffler for my music. I saw that you can create teams for it and was wondering if there was already one for DP (couldn't find a topic for it via search), if not then would anyone be interested in joining one?
It's nothing special at all really, but it's for a good cause and it would put those PS3s that are just left on to work.

For real, we should start one.
I've got 2 PCs running F@H round the clock. And on my PS3 throughout most of the day. I've already gotten about 35 WU's done.

It's a way to fry your PS3 earlier than usual by leaving it on.

What the hell is folding at home? Exit's links are dead.
I could Google it, but I figure if someone explains it here it'll save the trouble of other people having to search for it. And I'm a lazy asshat. I don't own a PS3 either.

Naw. My PS3 is on more often than it is off.

As someone with more than a passing interest in ambient music I find it worthwhile to boot up Folding @ Home just to hear the music. Truly excellent stuff.

It's a bit complicated, explaining it.... The projects main page probably explains it best.

And you can run it on your PC, too... It runs graphically smoother and alot faster with a PS3, though...

I used F@H on my PC until I got sick of it (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107136).
I still want to see if World Community Grid is any better.
