Can they make new carts? I know cd's hold a bunch of info but with todays knowledge, could they make carts again that could hold 100's of games? why? cause you can basically throw them across the room and nothing happens to them:dance:

There are many different small pirate companies that make cartridges for various systems. Though it makes me sad that you brought this up, I'll still pray for you.

Isn't the DS a cart? V.Smile as well.

There are those GBAs 56 in one carts, so sure, it's very possible to have a cart with a 100s games. Old games don't take up much space and the carts are getting more and more gig space.

My pondering is why they don't make SNES cart size memory sticks with the current technology in them. They would probably hold thousands of gigs of data, meaning limitless gameplay. Well this is probably already happening with Ipods and the like, but you know what I mean.

It's extremely expensive. You wouldn't want to pay and extra $25 for wii games to have it on a cart, $50 for 360 games, and $100 for PS3 games. That's probably about what it would cost, and those are just my estimates for single disc games. Maybe we will see carts again in the future if the size of games doesn't continue to sky rocket.
