I was at the flea market today and a guy gave me 8 Sega CD games for $1 a piece. I recognize some of the titles, but because they were cheap i bought them all. I have never even seen a sega Cd so I was wondering if I should keep the games and see if I can find a sega Cd and go from there or if it would be better just to sell them and leave at that.

Post the list of games and we'll be able to help you more.
The answer to your question is fairly easy in my eyes. How well do you like the Sega Genesis? If you only have a mild interest in the system, well that should tell you everything you need to know.

For a buck a piece, I would keep them to try them out at least if you have the space for them. I think a lot of us on this board buy cheap games wherever we find them and then end up trying to find somewhere to keep them, so let space be your only reason for not keeping them.

If they are complete and in fairly good condition, then a buck a piece is good for almost any title. What games were they?
What games are they?
But seriously, for $1, I'd pick up any gaming title, even if I don't own the console.

Space really isnt a problem. they fill a hole on one of my shelves. the games are:
Mortal Kombat
Thunderstrike
Who shot jhonny rock
wheel of fortune
mad dog mccree
NHL '94
jeporady
Leathal enforcers 2
They are all in pretty good condition. Only one case has a crack and about 2 are missing the little styrofoam piece. Where could I find a cheap Sega CD?

The only real stinker out of those games IMO is Mortal Kombat. Gotta "love" how it loads before you do a fatality :b But it does have four of five remixes of the MK theme techno remixes as "bonus tracks" if you play it in a CD player.
Thunderstrike is one of the best Sega CD games. I haven't played it in years, so I'd imagine it looks pretty dated now, but for the time, the graphics were top-notch.
I actually like the Lethal Enforcers games, so YMMV on LE2, but that's a solid game as well. Though to get the full experience, you're going to need to find a Justifer light gun.
IIRC, there's not much difference between the Genesis and Sega CD version of NHL 94 besides a FMV intro and better music on the soundtrack. It's still a fun game if you like arcadey sports games.
Who Shot Johnny Rock and Mad Dog Macree are FMV light gun games, though honestly I can't remember if you can actually use a light gun with them or not
Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, I'm sure you can figure out what these are.
I'd say it's worth tracking down a Sega CD if you can find one cheap. There's a lot of terrible FMV games on it, but there's some quality stuff as well.

Don't forget that it's a cinch to play those games on your PC with Gens, assuming you don't mind playing them in front of your computer with whatever PC peripherals you have available.

The instructions in gens.txt are fairly straightforward - just make sure you set the Directories and Path Configuration correctly, just like it says in that file. And of course you need to follow the instructions about obtaining a Sega CD BIOS, as well as formatting the virtual RAM cart.
But it's no sweat, really - there are other things out there that are much more complicated to emulate. Just follow the instructions.
