I am looking for multi player action rpgs/adventures for Gamecube and PS2 similar to Champions (Series), Balders Gate, Gauntlet, and Tales of Symphonia. Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

For the Gamecube I think that would be Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles and Phantasy Star Online.

Diablo - PS1 game, but PS2 can play them so...plus you must own this. Pc version don't count cause well it don't have co-op like this one. :p

Bard's Tale - PS2, not sure, but I heard it's much like Baldur's Gate with more humor.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 - GCN. Best next gen turtles game, imo, the four player setup can be fun, plus it includes Turtles in Time! I know it doesn't seem similar, but it is, you collect powerups and can level up your Turtles. Not very deep but I liked it.

Both Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance games for PS2. Great titles, loved playing them with my wife!

For the love of all that is holy, Champions of Norrath and Champions: Return to Arms are must-plays on PS2.

Sweet I love Diablo, is Bard's Tale good? I love the Turtles games.

Zelda Four Swords :)
I played this one and forgot all about it.

bards tale is great, but its 1 player.

there are TONS of games like this on ps2, most are not very well known cause they suck, a lot.

theres gauntlet seven sorrows, the 2 xmen legends games, marvel ult alliance, D&D heroes (xbox)... not many more *great* games, or even really good ones. the turtles games are kinda fun, justice league i heard is not bad. all the other great ones have been mentioned.

.

Yes, it has 4-player split screen. Yes it is co-op.

Imo, it's a must have. One of the only true 3-d dungeon crawlers with good loot to find and fun bosses to fight. Downside being to replay later dungeons you must unlock them on single player before they can be directly accessed in split screen, otherwise you must fight from the beginning each time and everyone whos played this knows all the good loot drops are in later areas. The first time you find a double saber is an OMG moment, hehe, I love that weapon.

One strange thing to mention about split screen is two player cuts off a bit too much and some bosses/items are way hard to see and four player split slows the game down way much in framerate. The best formula is 3 player, camera is perfect and minimal slowdown.

Online for the game has been cancelled so no using photon drops online to get barriers and music to play in lobby.

The best version for Gamecube to get is called "Phatasy Star Online Episode 1&2 plus", it's a bit rare though and fetches about $30+ on ebay.
