Lets hope they don't add DRM's to the saves, like they did on the first Gears.

I had to trade in my copy because my 360 won't play it anymore, and I wasn't about to erase my save, halfway through Insane mode.

I haven't even PLAYED the first one yet. *sigh* But looks like it should be awesome. I just hope it doesn't get hyped to all high hell like Halo 3.

I doubt it. Direct sequels from the same developer on the same system aren't that difficult to produce. It's the same rationale that makes 2 Mass Effect sequels in the next two years possible.

Extremely good news, I was a huge fan of the first Gears of War.

I wonder if the chainsaw clashing will be implemented into the game, that looked really cool.

Sorry for those that don't understand the reference...but the voices are identical. Kind of takes away some of the mystique.

Are you going to be getting either one of those achievements? I can't imagine the amount of game time it takes to get 10,000+ kills. At least with GRAW they counted bot kills.

Yeah it takes a huge amount of time especially since the first time around the "Seriously..." achievement was glitchy, for some people it took way more than 10,000 kills for it to unlock. So hopefully if Gears 2 does have a "Seriously..." achievement it will at least unlock when it is supposed to.

Because I lost my Gears save for some reason as well, when Live was going on and off during December. Luckily I had already beaten Insane and have all of my achievements for it.

Probably not. I chickened out at around 1200 kills for Seriously and took advantage of the glitch. The time I figured it would have taken from that point, would have been about 3 months if I managed exactly 100 kills per day. The Club I'll likely not even put on my gamertag. Gears 2... will probably be left at 950 assuming there IS indeed another achievement like Seriously and it is worth 50 points. Glitch or no glitch like for the first one I won't be using it.

I got gipped out of the free XBL 1600 point card at Circuit City. The store only got in 4 point cards and 200+ copies of GoW2...hmmm. They said they would call me when they get more in (the regular 1600 point cards don't qualify). The sucky part is my receipt says I bought the game for $40.00 and 1600 point card for $19.99. So if I try and return the game, they'll only give me $40 (yet I paid $59.99). This is borderline bait and switch IMO.

Circuit City is basically in the middle of going out of business, you'll probably never see the card. I'd be surprised if they gave you a refund either. I'd take it back and do a chargeback on your credit card.

I got the LE from Best Buy(preordered last month), so I got the RC Tank, it is indeed remote control. I'm not sure whether or not to open it up. Hopefully I will get a chance to play tonight.

In case anyone wants to know, the achievements that say "(ANY MODE)", can be completed in local split screen multiplayer, so just grab that 2nd controller and have at it, if you so wish. My friend just told me this, I just tried it out on Chainsaw dueling, it does indeed work.

Also, this game is pretty damn awesome.

I got it, I figured Id be a COG for Halloween next year. Its big and seems pretty sturdy. It uses C cell batteries, which is a crime in this day and age. It will compliment my waste of money room next to my Metal Slug Pachislo machine and Aliens Vs Predator Chess set.

Yeah, I did and it came in today. It's way more impressive than I imagined. Huge and pretty heavy. The chainsaw noise is pretty loud and effective and it just feels great. I was originally seconds away from canceling but I'm very happy I didn't.

Have to say that I found the campaign to be a little short, or maybe I'm just looking for too much. I finished it in probably 12 hours or so, about the same as the first one, and only had maybe three spots throughout that required more than 2 attempts before moving onto the next part.

Also, I did try to get online and play some multiplayer but assumed my connection was bad since I never found anyone else to play with and it kept "restarting search". But it sounds like it's not a problem on my end. Oh well, can't wait to use my gold-plated weapons in multiplayer....

I got mine day one, and haven't been out to look for another one, I will keep an eye out for one though. I really like the way it is put together and am glad I bought mine.

Yep, I preordered my LE set as well and am glad I did, at least so far. Unlike the Halo 3 "limited edition" this one might actually be limited. I was in Best Buy yesterday and they did not have any GOW2 LE's but they did have the COD: World at War LE set with the canteen, tin, dvd, and more and it looked pretty cool. Anyone get that one yet?

What mode are you playing on? I started my game on Hardcore and I remember getting pretty frustrated at having to repeat some sections over and over again. Now that I'm playing on insane it's taking even longer to get through.

Why does it take so long to get an online match started? With the first game, you join one and it usually only takes a minute or two to start.
