I had two SNES controllers that wouldn't work. I took them both apart and cleaned the buttons and one ended up working just fine, but I still can't get the other one to work. I didn't notice any broken wires or solder joints when I had it open either. Any suggestions?

Be more exact in how they "don't work". Do all the buttons not work on you? The start button?

I have a couple that don't work, too. One of them stopped working (completely) when I zapped it pretty good with a static discharge. There is nothing evident inside, but it just doesn't work. I figure that little chip in there is fried. I'm just glad the SNES was okay, because it was quite the zap. I think the other just came in a lot already broken, again with nothing working at all.

None of the buttons work.
