I was just taking a peek at the Emaculation.com forums when I found this thread (http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5151) which suggests the Sheepshaver PPC emulator might be capable of running Pippin games.
Sounds kind of nifty. Anyone here with a Pippin game they might take for a spin?

What's a Pippin? And why isn't there a Meri?

I wouldn't be surprised by this. You can buy a program called Pease for the Pippin and it allows use of many Mac titles. I don't see why it couldn't work the other way around.

Did Pippin ever see any real games released? I thought it flopped from the moment it hit retail. I guess there was a Marathon 2 port, but since that game is freeware and available on all platforms now kinda no need.
Technically it should be fine since pipping runs on a 603 PPC I think, which is one of the processors that Sheepshaver emulates (601,603,603e,604 I think)

No, there were actually a number of games released in the US and Japan. Some were edutainment titles, but I know I have a complete US collection and there are at least 4-5 actual games in that collection (Racing Days, Marathon, etc...)

I have racing days, but its still sealed and somewhere in my storage unit. I remember when I bought it they had 5 or so of the edjumacation titles for it also but I passed on those. Never did find the system itself though oddly I found a touchpad for it at a thrift store.

I did a basic section for it in the database, there are about a dozen US releases plus accessories. There are around 200 games for it in Japan. Look in the database under Pippin and you will find the list plus descriptions for each one.
