I was getting rid of some NES games (selling them on ebay) and one of those games was The Adventures of Link on the NES. I haven't played that game in at least 10 years now but as soon as I saw it the music from one of the dungeons popped into my head. I never even really liked the game or played through it but I did play it and that one song is still in my mind even after a decade of not hearing it.

I know this is an answer for a lot of people but almost any reference to mega man will put various mega man tunes in my head

I would have to say Wild Arms on the PSone, the music on that kicks ass.

Paperboy...hands down...I could not touch that game for the rest of my life and at the ripe age of 80 pick it up and hum away for most likely the remaining days of my life

-Pitfall II
-Adventure Construction Set (C-64 version had better music than the Apple 2 version, IMO)
-Any Zelda game
-Super Mario Bros.
-After Burner
-Pac-Man (Any version except the VCS, and just the opening tune, which still puts a smile on my face whenever I hear it..)
-Shark! Shark! (best game over music, ever)
-SNAFU (boring game, great music)
-Tron (Any version, but INTY's 'Maze-A-Tron' sticks in your head like glue)

The obvious ones of course:

Super Mario Bros - I think everyone has all the music from this game memorized.
Tetris - Same as above.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Most of the music I can remember, especially Casino Night Zone, both the single and 2 player version.
ZELDA - The Zelda theme or overworld theme.. whatever it is, is probably the most recognizable piece of video game music in the world.

Others:
Friday the 13th - This music is just burned into your brain after playing.

Batman on NES
God I love the music on the first level!

Checkered Flag on Lynx
The intro with the cars flying by and the music... Back in the day I would keep resetting the system and just watch the intro over and over for the impressive graphics and unforgettable music.

Sword of Vermillion on Genesis
Crap game but the music was impressive especially for the genny. The town music when you first start blew me away with the hand claps and what sounds like electric guitaur. I will never forget this music... If only I could forget the game...

Shadow Blasters on Genesis
This game just has erie music. I will never forget it just because it was so unique.

The trade-off for having no innate musical talent of my own is that I can generally recall damn near every piece of music I've ever been exposed to, as well as the first time I heard it. The strongest correlations for music and games for me are between:

Pitfall II (Atari 2600)
Tetris (GB)
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB)
Katamari Damacy (PS2)

I should also mention the original arcade machines Tron, Galaga and Donkey Kong.

All of it I can pull up from the old cerebral iPod any time I like.

I work out of town and have to pack a bunch of boxes in my truck. When I start arranging them in there I hum Tetris Theme A, I usually don't even realize I do it. I am a sad person.

Admittedly, a good chunk of the games I have can elicit those automatic responses. The most notable ones are Super Mario Brothers 1 and 3, any of the Sonic games on the Genesis (with the potential exception of Sonic Spinball), Rayman, Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (the first really long game I ever beat (took 3 weeks to completely complete it, meaning all 20,000 gems, 150 eggs, defeating the Sorceress twice, and all 20 Skill Points)), the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games and even Mike Tyson's Punch Out! (which I never even had).

Although it's not classic gaming, Super Mario Sunshine. My friend has the plaza music on his MP3 player. XDDD

Classic games? Donkey Kong Country for sure.

Oh my. That's stuck in my head now. I loved that baseline. Then the keyboard would kick in after 4 bars. Plus that Midway voice box that they used in all of their games back then when they wanted something to talk.

Some other games that I can instantly match game with music to are the stage complete chime in Contra and the beginning of every stage of Magaman in the 8 bit days. I'll also have to add Street Fighter 2 and I can match every chracter with each song in that one. I loved how they had to focus on melody back then because of the limitations of the current hardware of the times. Music was so much better back then compared to today.
