Sorry man, playing games actually make me more energetic. I can't sit still and play them for hours like I used to. After about an hour I get so jittery that I have to go run on the track or go lift weights.

Strangely, watching TV makes me fatigued.

Yeah I can't sit still to play games for more than an hour really maybe up to two. My record in a single day is five hours but with lots of breaks. It kinda energizes me to. Except rock band which can fatigue me in so many ways (hands, legs, voice etc) but it only makes me sore not tired if anything it wakes me up alot.

I don't understand how wow players and rpg players can sit still so long its crazy

Why thank you, Dr. m117 for your concurrence of this phenomena. We can all sleep [and game] easy now, knowing that your scientific research has indeed concluded that this is all real. This is, without a doubt, what we have all been waiting for. Hoorah doc, hoorah.

Don't get me wrong, its not as if i can sit and play an RPG for 5 hours straight now, I am still only able to invest about an hour at a time. So that kind of fatigue is still there. I am mainly referring to long term fatigue, where one tends to become burned out on a specific title or genre. And yes otaku rock band is constantly a source of my fatigue.

faˇtigue \fə-ˈtēg\

Function: noun

1 a: labor b: manual or menial work performed by military personnel c plural : the uniform or work clothing worn on fatigue and in the field

2 a: weariness or exhaustion from labor, exertion, or stress b: the temporary loss of power to respond that is induced in a sensory receptor or motor end organ by continued stimulation

3: the tendency of a material to break under repeated stress <metal fatigue>

-----------------------------------

By definition, I think the term applies to everything when done in copious amounts, not just gaming.

Oddly enough , I JUST bought Final Fantasy XII two days ago. It's also my very first one to buy. I have played 7, 8, and 9, but never bought any of them because they just weren't very interesting to me. Though, this one is actually quite awesome so far.

Some days I can play for many hours straight (if you don't include bathroom and snack breaks) other days I can't go for an hour(usually nights after work when I am tired)

Nice wall o' text! I understand what you mean, though, but I think my current bout of disgust with gaming will likely be permanent.

You want the cure for the fatigue? I have it right now, play some really sucky games on your 360 for the points alone. It will take you much longer to beat them than it should.

Then when you're done, you'll be crying with joy to play your COD4, Mass Effect, Bioshock again. That's all you'll think aobut playing the suck games, is getting back to the good stuff.

Right now I'm playing through LOTR and Enchanted Arms. I cheated though I played a little COD4 multiplayer this morning.

I know I have been experiencing "worker's fatigue" for the past fifteen years. I am extremely tired of having to work all of the time and never having that free time to play (or even come close to getting tired of) my games!
