Lately at work I've been really bored, so I've been checking out the casual gaming scene. I've actually gotten into hidden object games like the Big City Adventure (http://www.bigcityadventure.com/) series, and of course Peggle (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.popcap.com%2Fgames%2Fpeggle&ei=MKPDR9_eOJKM6gOsku2_Dg&usg=AFQjCNHLfeDXlEMmWdi25dIAs5oMEt_nZg&sig2=2tBEkqMf2qDOi9lcvtjmqg)is amazing.

What are some of your favorite casual games?

Peggle is the Ultimate casual game. My wife & I love playing against each other. The Mystery Case File games are also good. If you have friends over, you can hook up multiple mice and work together in finding the items. Also try Rocket Bowl & Saints & Sinners Bowling. You really don't have to like bowling to like either of these games.

I used to play Snood. Easy to learn but addictive.

Protector and Desktop Tower Defense @ Kongregate.com.

Protector is especially cool because I think it uses cookies to "save" your progress between sessions, even without logging in.

I'm pretty boring but... Tetris. I would play this so much, that the game would actually play in my head throughout the day. I couldn't get rid of the image so I had to stop playing. Maybe I should have talked to someone about it- professionally.

I also found myself liking Snood too. An ex-girlfriend had it on her computer, so I'd play it when I was bored at her house.

Peggle and Boomshine are the two I go to when bored.

hmm, speaking as a man who once head-butted:sob:his gameboy so hard it smashed the screen whilst playing Tetris, 'casual' and 'games' have never gelled for me. But that was a looong time ago, and I have mellowed...kind of! I go with the prophetically named Nirvana's choice of Solitaire.

And I thought I was the only one...oh to be young again. Then I told my mom I dropped it so we went and bought a new one and put the old one in that package and returned it saying it was like that out of the package.

Good question.

I'd say Clubhouse Games on DS (billiards, darts, bowling, mahjong and blackjack), Lumines Plus on PS2, and Uno on 360.

Spider Solitare. Over the years, I think I've played it on my computer more hours than I've played my PS3. Fun game.

Ahh...definitely the first Meteos for the DS. My addiction to that game was just ridiculous. It was so bad that one nite when I went out, I got drunk off of my rocker and I was visually trying to line up a group of people that I was talking to and watch them launch off into space while the music from the 'Hotted' level was playing in my mind! It was at that point where I decided that I had to back away from the game for awhile...
