Xbox 360 wireless controllers are fifty, and that's without a rechargeable battery. So the price makes sense compared to the competition, but they're both too high if you ask me.

I went through the 360 rechargable pack I bought at launch, which lasted me about 2 years under heavy use. Now I am using 2x2500 mAh AA's- I had a few extra lying around and they were only $5 instead of $12.

But what's the deal with the PS3 controllers and their internal batteries. Are they dying off? How easy to replace? Or is the whole matter moot as people will just buy/switch over to DS3s? I'm wanting to make a few Apple comparisons, but there's really not a whole lot of information in the last three google searches I did. Plus, it's not something that gets brought up often.

I expected it to be around $55-60, that was why I ordered a white one back in December. It was worth it to have it 5 months early, especially for Uncharted. It is expensive, but hey, "last gen" tech is costly.

The pink and blue xbox 360 controllers are 49.95, at Best Buy.

The Halo 3 LE controllers are 59.95 there as well.

The wired controllers were 34.95 at the store I went to.
