With the release of DMC4 for two systems that I'm probably still a year off before getting, my interest has been rekindled in a series that I believe does 3D action right. Although, I'm honestly only familiar with the first game, a recent replay of it (in which I obliterated the game on Dante Must Die) has sparked my enthusiasm for the DMC series. So, if there's anything you'd like to mention regarding Dante and his demonic asskickery, do feel free to say it here. Me? I'd like to mention this: I HATE SHADOWS FOREVER. >(

Anyway... I've wanted to play DMC3 (the Special Edition, specifically) for a while now. I realize that not a lot of people are fond of DMC2, thinking that it was a major departure from the first game in being way too easy overall, and the entire atmosphere coming off as pretty stiff. Well... that's not going to stop me from playing it, mostly because I want to A: Affirm that it really is as bad as most say it is (though, with my expectations set super-low, I get the feeling it will not suck as much as I have built it up), and B: Because I'm such a damn completist. I recognize that DMC2's story has almost nothing to do with the rest of the games, but that's not a factor for me. Am I demented for wanting to play what has been labeled the "biggest disappointment of 2003?" :embarrassed:

No, you're not crazy, especially considering that you can get the game DIRT cheap. I have DMC 1-4, and since you're already well aware that it sucks, you're not going to be disappointed. Just don't force yourself to play through it if you don't like it.

DMC 4 is best in series, IMO, so it's something to look forward to.
