Trying to finally get my arcade going that I've always wanted. Have a nice room in the basement that should do the trick. Picked up a merak pool table for 50 bucks and an air hockey table for $10 both kinda cheap but they work. Next I just need some artwork/posters and a cab or two
any advice/info etc would be great. Biggest problem is finding stuff locally (cabs) to pickup. Shipping would suck

The best advice I have is to start trawling craigslist regularly.
It may seem fruitless at first, but it will eventually pay off. I've gotten three cabs in the last two months for $210 total. I've passed on about 5 others.
The only other advice I have is to get a better job. This hobby is addicting as hell...

Go to your locally owned Pizza Shops or Laundrymats and see if they have any arcade games in them. Usually the arcade might have a sticker advertisement on it saying "such and such amusements" etc. Get a hold of that company and see if they can hook you up. I have a good connection now for whatever I need and I don't have to worry about shipping either because of that.

yeah craigslist is where I usually go. Another thing to do is go to ebay and do an advanced search of "ARCADE" in the "ARCADE/PINBALL/JUKEBOX" category and do a search for all items in a 50-100 mile radius(dependiing on how far you want to travel). A lot of the arcade machines have local pickup only so you can find good deals that way.

yeah I've been checking out craigslist. Locally not much I want though. Just one neo cab has popped up and its not really that great a deal (some screen issues and needs a lock to be fixed only a 2 slot and its 250 or so) I will try and find a supplier to like you said. Either way I have a pool table and air hockey table all cheap junk but so far this endeavor has only set me back 65 bucks haha.
