We are going to be holding a retrogaming night bi-weekly here in San Antonio. We did our first night yesterday and it had a great turn out.

The store that's holding these events is called HD Gaming that specializes in TCG and Lan 360 gaming. It has a great set of 10 plasma screens in a cool enviroment. We are talking about moving the day for the next event to maybe a weekend day so I will update this thread once we have a date locked.

Games that were played at the last event:

Samurai Spirits (Neo Geo)
Sengoku (Neo Geo)
Killer Instinct (SNES)
Tempest 2000 (Jaguar)
Macross 2036 (DUO)
Splatterhouse (TG16)
Mortal Kombet (Sega CD)
Golden Axe (Genny)
Mortal Kombat Gold (DC)
Soul Caliber (DC)
Wolfenstein 3D (3DO)
Nightwarriors (SAT)
Panzer Dragoon Zwei (SAT)

Hope to see some other digit people, maybe we can also hold a trade event as well.

That is really cool to hear, if I can break away from Play Again here I would love to go. In addition if you all would like to try out a new location in the future we can have it here too, of course I am in Corpus Christi TX, but not too far away!

We are currently installing an anime cosplay style cafe in my store (3 tables, coffee, cappuchino, smoothies & pastries) but it is a good start. We hope to have it open by end of the 2nd week of March, so it might be a neat place to have one of these meetups.

In any case I would love to try to make it one of your events in the near future if possible, it sure does sound like fun!

That's not far from where I live. Depending on my work schedule I may check this out.

I went to HD Gaming tonight to check out this event.

However, when I got there I found the place abandoned.

What happened? Anybody know the story?

I want to apologize for anyone who showed up for this. The owner of the store is no where to be found. I have called his phone numerous times, honestly I am just as lost and confused as you. I spoke with him last week we ironed out the final details and then this,

I'll post again if I find out what happened, or if anything in the future will happen.
