Do you remember the kinds of "games" you were allowed to play on the computer at school when you were in junior high? The ones that were thinly-veiled educational games? If you do, then you know what it's like to play Sea Monkeys for Playstation, except without even the educational benefit. I can't even see how anyone thought this game could be construed as FUN. It's practically painful! The graphics could have been SO much better. There is really no replay value at all; ten minutes (if you can hold out THAT long) is all you'll ever need to satisfy any curiousity you had about the game.. ten minutes that you'll never get back!
I'm disappointed, if you couldn't tell. I thought maybe this would be along the lines of Seaman, except that you'd be taking care of multiple sea monkeys instead. It was bad enough that the REAL sea monkeys never panned out when I was ten; the game is a total bomb too. I give this one three flushes: that's how long it took me to get the pieces to go down the toilet!

Don't say I didn't warn you!

Still I didn't hate it as much as you do. I agree that it doesn't look particularly good, they could have done much better with the 2D environments, at least a little more variety! But at least it's a fair puzzle game. I've described it before as "Lemmings Underwater", though it's really not nearly as engaging.

Ah well, chalk another one up to "shovelware". At least there are a few good $9.99 games like Three Stooges, Turnabout and Gek-i-oh, and some quality late releases that aren't exactly budget in Inayusha, Dragonball Z 22 and FF Origins. Seek those out if you're hanging in there with your PSOne, quality titles.

I'll save my Oregon Trail rant for when it somehow becomes Random Game of the Day.

Computers at middle school? What an odd concept. The middle school I attended barely had windows. A computer would have been under lock and key and probably in a glass case.

BTW, real sea monkeys do work. I have had them nearly my whole life. I have one tank that is on like it's 10th generation of monkeys. They're cool.

PrintShop....
We got to draw stuff in Turtle Graphics ( I think thats what it was called)
I remember the day the school got I guess it was usernet back then, the class sat around one machine the modem let out this awful sound we saw the topic sent our response and I think waited a day for it to be updated and check for others.

I used to love this game. I just downloaded it and applewin, just to get a fix. I was the master at this game. The key is to always be a farmer and take plenty of time out to rest and hunt.

I want your Sea Monkeys! My fish LOVE to eat those things...I can never get them to stay alive long enough to make good fish food out of them :(
