Just received an email that CYE was about to be shipped, a new game for the ColecoVision from Game Consoles (http://www.gameconsoles.com/)
I remember meeting the programmer at CGE last year, but don't remember much about the game. I think the gameplay is like Boulderdash, and the screen-shots seem to confirm that.
It's great to see the support that classic consoles continue to get with new homebrews like this.

I was just reminded of Opcode's great work and checked his homepage. I wonder what ever happened to him...
Yes, it is indeed great to see new homebrew released for classic consoles. More power to them!

Huh? Road Fighter was just released a few weeks ago.

Well how can we buy Road Fighter. Its rather difficult trying to buy from Opcode. Eduardo seems very nice, but it is sure difficult to try to buy these games. I dont see anywhere on the site on how you can purchase Road Fighter, only that it has been released. Opcode games totally rule, I try to purchase ALL of their releases, but its always a pain in the ass to try to buy them. Sometimes I feel they are allergic to money.

I believe one of them was having some personal issues and just stopped the whole game thing for a bit.

If you read that thread I linked to above, you'll see that you can purchase the game on eBay or email Opcode to be added to the purchase list. They are only able to ship a limited amount at this time.

I tried to order the Intellivision Space Patrol homebrew from that site, and PayPal says the seller isn't able to receive payment at this time.

Supposedly my copy was shipped. Maybe it's on hold until all copies have been fulfilled? I'm hoping so anyway.

CYE for the ColecoVision arrived today.
Now I'm torn between leaving it sealed, or breaking the seal and trying it out.
:)

It may not be available anymore, as it looks like a limited number were produced.
From Gameconsoles.com:
"This special game was produced in just 52 units; Philipp retained two for his personal collection and the remaining 50 were sold as an exclusive, collector’s piece, to attendees of CGE 2K7."
I received #3 in the mail today.

About ordering from Opcode Games, I agree that it was a pain in the past, but not anymore. Since Luc (pixelboy) took over distribution, things have been a lot smoother now. He always replies in the same day, and ships games pretty quickly.
And btw, I amnot allergic to money. In fact I like it very much. :)

PLAY IT! PLAY IT! PLAY IT! C'mon, a sealed homebrew that's still being made? What's up with that?
Just send it to me, I have a foolproof method of shrinkwrap removal, and I'll even test it out for you and make sure it works before sending it back. :p
