Forgive my ignorance, but I have two questions about the Super Fami AC unit.

1. Can you use a North American Super Nintendo AC unit on it?

2. If not, do you have to use some sort of adapter in order to use the Super Fami AC unit on North American power?

a genesis model1/sega master system power cord or any 9V power cord with center negative and at least 850ma will work just fine on it. if you have the jap power cord for it it should work fine on us power, they use 100vAC and we use about 110vAC the difference isnt really enough to harm the adapter but if you are still unsure about it just use another adapter.

You can also use a North American NES power adapter. That's NES, the original 8-bit Nintendo system. It outputs 9 volts AC, not DC as the SFC calls for, but it works and is safe. I've used one on my Super Famicom for years.

Thanks for the info, all. I was shocked to find a Super Famicom at Goodwill last week (!!!) for $9.95, but didn't have a power adapter.
