As a general fan of rhythm games and unusual titles, I was saddened by the fact that I just don't like this game. I wanted to, but the first couple levels bored me to death.

What am I missing? I really want to enjoy this game, but entering the same rhythm ad infinitum just isn't appealing to me.

Haven't played it yet but, I'm surprised. From what I've seen it looks like an awesome game. Sorry man, can't help ya. :(

I'm a fan of rhythm games, but NOT a big fan of build & equip army type military strategy games - and I've personally been enjoying this game very much over the past week.

It does seem to be a bit on the repetitive side, but that's the only flaw I can personally cite ... as everything else (art style, polish level of the play control, humor, depth of army customization) has proven to entertain me fully.

It's not shallow per'se, but it's so simple that if you don't like it, I don't think that there's much digging to be done to find salvation. You just don't like it. :(

I am kinda having the same problem, at first I had to give it a chance on first level or two, then I believed I was liking it when I started to add to my army and equip them, but by like the 6th or 7th level I realized its not as good as I imagined, I started to get frustrated (espeialy on the desert level) and doing the same "miracle" song over and over grew tiresome. My one personal thing I hate most about the game is the wind! I hate having my patapon pushed back b the wind and spending an eternity re-marching them back into attack range. I might give it another chance soon though.

I've just finished playing the demo of it and I'm going out to buy it in a few minutes. I like the building up of the army. The rhythm is more of a gimmick than anything. It's essentially a different way of having turn based gameplay and they pretty much could have done without it but I do like it because it forces you to pay attention to the game and you can't be passive with it.

A good way to like it is to keep telling yourself that for every hour you don't play the game, a cute puppy will die. You must play the game to save the cute puppy's!
