I know the GBA can play all previous Gameboy games, but what are the must have games? I use my GBA to play mostly the NES classics. But with the system being discontinued, I want to get some really good games. I heard Metroid and Pokemon are good titles, but which ones would you recommend? Also are there any good RPG's?

Brian

You *must* get Metal Gear Solid on Gameboy Color. I'm not a MGS fan but that game is simply fantastic, and it's a great value considering how long the game is and it's on 10 bucks :D
If you're desperate for an RPG, check out Revelations: The Demon Slayer. I think it has something to do Megami Tensei series since Atlus makes it and it shares a name with Revelations: Persona. I never knew many RPGs for it outside Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Warrior Monsters games.

Donkey Kong GB
Super Mario Land 1,2,3
Bionic Commando (the GB version NOT the GB COLOR one)
Zelda: Link's Awakening
Zelda: Oracle Ages/Seasons
Metroid II
Kid Icarus (though it's practically identical to the NES game)
Kirby's Dreamland 1,2
Burgertime Deluxe
Castlevania 1,2, and Legends (but be warned, they're very "traditional" NES era Castlevania games)
and of course, the orignial Gameboy Tetris
... and probably lots more that I can't think of.

It's okay ... but it wasn't developed by Capcom and I don't hold it in as high regard as the regular GB version, which is MUCH more akin to the NES classic ... and is even closer to the visual style of the arcade version, which is my favorite.

I love puzzle type games so here are some suggestions if you're into those or interested:
Qix - GB
Quarth - GB (this one is disguised as a shooter)
Mario's Picross - GB (very engaging!)
Lazlo's Leap - GB
Hexcite - GBC (addictive, and has great AI)
Bookworm - GBA (before you know it 2/1/2 hours will have passed)

Ninja Five-O: Basically Shinobi meets Bionic Commando
And of course the Mario, Castlevania and Zelda games.
