There are a lot of very knowledgable people on these boards, but some just seem to be way above above the rest. I'll find that sometimes even if I'm not actively following a specific thread, and I see that one of these guys replied I'm more inclined to check it out. Generally the ratio of usefully information to random banter is high with these guys.

So which members do you have the most respect for? My list includes:

I try to treat everyone here with respect, but when pressed for an answer I'd have to say that über alles, I respect the Old Guard - the people that have been on this message board since the EZBoard days. .....most of them, anyway. ^^

I respect the following:

-digitalpress---obviously our benefactor, by running this butt kicking site. Thanks DP! Oh, and you do seem to know a touch about games I guess ;)

-davidbrit---It seems this guy knows an awful lot on the technical aspects of modern electronics, and I've seen some helpful posts from him concerning electronic problems, or just general questions about electronic functions and molecular structures LOL

-zektor---simply because he has finally found enlightenment with the N64, a truly wonderful gaming machine, much respect. Try the Rush games!

-All the Women gamers---how can I not respect any women gamers? They are on a pedastal amongst a male dominated, and oriented form of entertainment. The Women members here are the only Women I know of who love classic gaming, gotta have respect for them. I won't list them all because I will miss some and I don't want to do that.

at various times i've been impressed by many people here. i'm a communtiy wide poster so between here, atariage and RGVC there's no question i cant get answered. in that spirit (and because its hard to seperate who's from where) i'll throw a few names in.

My definition of respect amongst the gaming community really only boils down to those that respect games themselves. Obviously Joe respects gaming enough to run this incredible website. The moderators here respect it enough to contribute time to maintain/help the site in any way they can. The members respect gaming enough to spend their time here, chat about what they love, and help others on many occasions. I respect all of this, and am glad I'm here ;)

I respect Joe, cause i love his site and his colum every month in T&T.

I respect DreamTR cause he writes good stratagies and drives a Paseo (clown car) like me and is a wonderful conversationalist on the phone.
And in edition he has beaten Superman 64, which is god-like in my opinion.

I respect TheRedEye casue he has been more helpful to me then i could possably explain.

I respect all the girls gamers for the constant vigulence(excuse the spelling but its 1 in the morning and i am so tired) in keeping this board safe for all girl gamers everywhere.

I respect AnotherFluke for taking up for me in several arguements and putting my opinion in way better terms then I could ever hope to, and for being very respectful and levelheaded in every post he makes.

And Sothy for being about freaking hilarious, if a little on the scary side.

On the whole i respect most everyone here, except the few of you who have made less then polite comments about women on this board or in general, that is just uncalled for.

I respect Toddst, Kid Fenris, and Cap'n Wrong for their godlike taste in music. However, if I had to name everyone I respect here based on videogame knowledge, I'd be here all day. Everyone has something to add to the table, their own specialty. All are part of the main, a piece of the whole.
