Frazzuh, I'm not sure what your original post was but we are a bit more laid back here in the arcade. Where abouts do you live, and what are you willing to spend?

If you buy a 6-player version, you'd better have about 15 friends who'll help you lug that monstrosity.

Well Im pretty sure it breaks down into 3 parts. If it doesnt I dont know how Im going to get it through the door. There are 3 of us going plus the guy im buying it from makes 4. Hopefully we can handle it.

You should be fine, IIRC, it does break down into 3 pieces. As long as you have a standard 36" doorway, it'll go through just fine. Also, I think it's on wheels (at least some of it is). Again, it's been a while, but I think that's how it goes. Enjoy your machine!!!

I live in Greensboro NC and I will pay the going rate not sure what that is. I would really love a 6 player cab but 4 will also do.

Good luck with your search. Im not far from greensboro. Probably about 45 minutes. The one Im going to pick up is in Charlotte. If I run across anything else I will be sure to let you know.

WOW I just got home with my 6 player. This thing is HUGE!! All I can tell you if you get one is to measure measure and measure some more. It wouldnt fit down my hallway so its just sitting in the middle of my kitchen right now. I guess I have to take the whole thing apart. It suppose to break down but im not exactly sure how the main cabinet breaks down. If anyone has any idea or tips please let me know.

I think the control panel comes off in one unit, and the monitors separate in the middle. Everything SHOULD be plugged in with connectors for easy diassembly. It's been years since I had to deal with one of those, so don't quote me on this, but I believe that's how it goes.

Just keep in mind it was built to go through a 36" doorframe, so as long as your hallway is 36" wide or more, then you should be good to go. Let me know how you make out with this monstrosity. Nice find, by the way. 6-players are getting kinda hard to come by these days. Hope you have lots of friends that like x-men!

I can get it down the hall but I can't make the turn to go into the room im have to get it in.

I got the control panel removed. But the main cabinet is going to have to come apart somehow. Do you have any idea how this is done?

I just pulled a board for the 4 player version of this game out of a trashed cabinet today and have a couple of questions. One, is it possible to convert a 4 player board into a 6 player board? And two, where is the best place to get custom cabinets? I have pretty much zero technical skills when it comes to working with arcade cabinets so I'd like to find something where all I basically have to do is plug the board back in and that's it.

Does anyone have any idea how to take the 6 player cabinet apart?

You might want to ask over on the KLOV message board. I know several members over there have the 6 player version, and they're a really helpful bunch.

It should come apart in the center somewhere between the two monitors, it's probably bolted together somewhere in there, I don't know where exactly. Worst case scenario is you could tip it on it's side, stand it up on end, and either use a dolly or a blanket and slide it through your doorway.

Of course, I never told you to do this, lol.

If you do end up having to go this route, be sure everything is SECURELY mounted before you do this, i.e. no coins floating around in there, remove the cash box(es), be sure the monitors are solidly bolted down, tape the coin door shut so it's not flopping around when you're trying to move the game in through the doorway, etc. I don't think it's higher than your door on end. (should be 6 or 7 feet high). Just be sure you have LOTS of help to do this, and be careful. You can get another machine, you can't replace yourself.

I am just basing these suggestions off of what you are describing as far as your moving situation. Without being there, I can't actually see what you're up against, but that's the only 2 things I can suggest, maybe someone else here can help out?

Thanks for the info. I have already to tried to move it but there is no way to get it through the door without breaking it down.

Just wondering if anyone knows if one of these are for sale anywhere? I am willing to pay what it is worth. It's a classic that I really want to play again.
