Now I don't mean the one on the outside, I mean the one on the inside. From repairing a broken power switch, the screen itself became a little dirty and oily. Anybody know of any safe ways to clean it besides a soft cloth?

not sure for the oil but using the sticky part of a post-it note can get dust specks off. Compressed air can work too...but don't blow...you'll get little spit balls on the screen.

I'd say a post-it or a bit of "magic" brand (not the super clear stuff) Scotch Tape for particles, or again, compressed air ...
... and if you somehow got "oil" on the LCD screen ... hmm, perhaps a very very small amount of alcohol just so it's completely moist on a completely non-abrasive cloth.

Well, I didn't mean vegetable oil or something like that.LOL You know when you touch something you get your fingerprints on it and yada yada. I guess I could refer to it as "finger oil"LOL

Haha, yeah, I know what you meant.
I didn't think it was motor oil either.
A small amount of rubbing alcohol or windex (anything that will evaporate quickly) should be okay for that, but again be sure to use a non-abrasive cloth that won't leave further particles behind.
If you try it, and it works, please verify that it'll clear up fingerprints directly on the LCD screen.
