I don't know where to ask this question.
I am looking for anything on the original Xbox (game or un-licensed program) that has a timer display. I am trying to do the sort of test described here (http://hdtvlag.googlepages.com/ourtest) on my new TV. Instead of using a computer I intended to use a modded Xbox to split the display between two TVs. This way I can also test lag on other inputs, like component.
Any thoughts?

It has to display down to the milisecond or the frame. Does XBMC have this? Strange I never noticed.

Sorry, wrote that late night. I thought you were just talking about a clock which tells time (which is an option on xbmc).
There's a thing on xbmc called a poker timer, but I am unsure as to what exactly is on it. Maybe you can try that

Here is what I am trying to do. The TV on the left is a SD CRT, and should respond "instantly" (i.e. nothing that I know of is faster). The TV on the right is a LNT4065 HD (1080p) LCD by Samsung. Of course, it has to do some processing to display most inputs, so it will inevitably have some lag. I have all the equipment to test the relative lag with the following input types: RF, composite, S-video, and 480i component. It's hooked up with S-video in this picture.
Honestly, the lag is very low, definitely what I would consider acceptable. What I would like to do though, is to measure the lag definitively. That's why I was looking for a timer of some sort. It doesn't have to be for the Xbox.

Sorry for the humongous picture.

I think you need a bigger picture. @_@

Why not just use a game that has an in-game timer? Like Forza or another racing game that will have seconds and milliseconds? That should do the trick.

Any other games have a timer with milliseconds? I don't own any forza games.

Play the last level of the original Halo. That has a timer during the last 5 minutes or so.

I just looked that up. It only goes to hundredths of a second, but since one frame at 60Hz is, .017 seconds, that would work partially. I would prefer milliseconds though, even though I realize that the console is not actually outputting a frame every millisecond.
PS. I just tried (by 'touch') the RF input on the TV. Like I expected, the lag is the worst I have seen on the TV, but not absolutely terrible. I figure I can just use an RF demodulator (e.g. a VCR) if I plan on hooking anything really old up to the TV.
