Swap Magic 3.8 and Vampire Darkstalkers Collection

Hey everyone, I just found out about this place from the sealed Chrono Trigger ebay auction that's going on right now. Anyway, I have a slim PS2 and swap magic 3.8, a while ago I bought a copy of Darkstalkers collection off of Playasia and the game loads up just fine, but for some reason the only thing I can actually use is the art gallery. When I go to select one of the games to play, it just says "now loading", then goes to a black screen...and that's all I get. At first, I thought maybe I had a faulty disc, but I even burned a copy (from a different source) and the same thing happened. Is it just not compatible? Does anyone know what the problem could be? I have been dying to play this game. Thanks.

I haven't used my Swap Magic discs for ages, but in almost every case of a game being "incompatible" I could get it to run using CD LOADER or COG SWAP LOADER in conjunction with the Swap Magics and a game with a HUGE DVD FAT table (Devil May Cry 1 was my go-to).
