USA Neo Goe AES Problem, plz help.

Hi, I recently found a usa version neo geo aes system but it doesnt seem to work (just doesnt turn on).
from what I heard from my friends was that it used to work but one day it just stoped working.
are there any common problems with the usa neo geo aes? i thought maybe I could open it up and fix it. any suggestions on what to try or what to do?

also my friend is seling it for $135 is it worth it if it doesnt work? I know they sell on ebay for about $500-$600 when it does show up.

Trying to fix the broken one sounds like a fun project but I wouldn't try it unless you have a some background in electronics.

"It doesn't turn on" is far too broad a place to start. Is the power adapter functional? Are there any bad solder joints? Are you getting proper power input? Do the connections for the output jacks look okay? And that's the very short standard opening list. There's so much stuff that it could be with these type blind repairs. You have to at the very least have a basic understanding of what's inside there and basic repair knowledge to begin eliminating possible problems and zero in on the true cause of the functionality problem(s).

It's also overpriced to begin with, which many of us told you - and since it doesn't work it's worth even less. If you want to get ripped off, that's your choice, but you should really listen to what was said in that other thread above.
